So, it's not just me.

I don't know if you watched All My Children, but before they were ridiculously re-located to California, their summer outdoors set was awesome. They were actually outside at a country club.

No, not just you.

And I think I remember that set; honestly, a lot of the L.A. sets stand out more in my head, and their stellar outdoor scenes.

I think the GH pool set works. Ask yourself if there was anything wrong with it when Kristina crashed through Ava's window?

Honestly, she should have went splat on the bottom since it looks only 4 feet or less.

I stopped watching by that time, but since they were in L.A. I could believe it.

I'm glad there's a pool set if only for the eye candy. I do think they need to be careful when filming.

Today, the direction was off with Kai in the pool -- it looked like he was sitting in a wading pool, and it was clear there was no depth to the water.

Also, as I mentioned before, the view from those large windows looks fake as hell.

I like the pool set as well.  It's something different, guys and girls in skimpy clothes and all that.  I dislike when they have characters in full on business attire having meetings there though.  That seems silly.

The pool depth is also ridiculous.  They should just have characters sitting on the side with their feet in the pool if they can't shoot it correctly.

Given how quickly he's picked up steam, I will again say they should've considered casting GM as Spencer last year. But that would not have suited Frank's preferences.

I think in the long run they can probably get more out of Gio, even though I know GM probably won't be around long enough for it to matter. The show has a real problem on how to handle Nik in future, which affected Spencer. Laura is moribund and her role in Spencer's story didn't do her many favors. They would have kept Esme around even longer. A lot of Sprina fans would have hated GM as he was replacing NAC. And even the fans who did accept him wouldn't have mattered because Frank likely would have split that relationship up ASAP. There's a good chance we'd get a Spencer/Emma pairing, only with Emma and the actress playing her getting dragged on social media every day and with people calling her a racist.

I think a lot would've gotten over it the same way they got over the Trina recast, especially since it became swiftly clear NAC is never coming back. The key issue, we agree, is Frank. As long as Trina is onscreen he's not touching that.

As for Nikolas, honestly I'd kill him off. Adam Huss has done a wonderful job in a very difficult situation but I don't think he has leading man power for a soap opera (not because he's gay, but he's very intense and I don't think it translates to potential lighter or romantic material; his flirting with Ava briefly was strange) and I was holding out for Tyler to recover and return someday. I am not interested in Nikolas #5 or 6.

I would consider recasting Nikolas again just for the sake of those around him, but you may be right.

At this point (and I've changed my tune several times), I'd fully rest the Cassadine family at this point.

Tracy’s tossed-off line to Drew about being out of ketamine made me LOL. I feel like some funny gay guy is writing her one-liners lately.

GH has to be the only soap that still has a courtroom set and I appreciate that as I love courtroom drama on soaps.

I like that as well, but the drama in today's show was rather flat.

Kristina needs a long break, so that would just leave Alexis. I think she works well enough in a supporting part, although they have written her into a corner over the years.

Tracy has the best of both worlds as she can have tender moments with the people she cares about, then gets to throw all her trademark venom at Drew. I'm just glad the show was willing to knock the halo off his head.

Thinking about where the current Cassadines are.

Alexis, Molly, Kristina, and Scout are currently active on canvas.
Technically, Ace is on canvas, although we never see him.

Jake is in school in Spain?

Valentin and Charlotte are currently off-canvas, I think? I've lost track.
I thought Valentin was in a prison somewhere, but then I remember reading something about Charlotte, and deciding if she'd live with Valentin or Lulu, but I don't remember what was decided.  I'm unclear on where Valentin is now.

Nikolas is in prison.

Did I miss anyone?
