I'll say this much...for the most part...soaps WERE giving this Sweeps...LOL. I'm looking at you, BTG, DAYS, and YES GH.  

 

But knowing that, I really want to know...especially since I'm behind on at least two of those soaps lol due to work and faulty technology...how would you all grade May Sweeps this time?

Thank you!!! You knew I was coming.  But it just seem like a pretty good one from what I've seen so far on the majority of the soaps. I'm just sorry that I'm so behind. lol.

Oh yes I tuned back in once Ron was gone and have been enjoying what I’ve been seeing so far. This upcoming week is probably going to have me bawling though!

As far Y&R I may a little harsh haha but the month started off with Summer’s abrupt departure (You go AL!!!) and it’s been downhill ever since. The one bright spot has been MM’s return along with Traci and Ashley returning to reflect, otherwise I felt the month as a whole was cumbersome to get through, especially since there wasn’t any momentum when there should have been.

Y&R: 10% good, 90% garbage time

I am still behind and know what upcoming week you are talking about.  And I know I'm not ready and have not been since the official news. That was my first couple on that show. You won't be alone. 

 

When you put it like that...same. Like I say in the thread when I'm more interested in what people are wearing than the stories...red flag. No momentum. Just stalling.

For me, Beyond the Gates, EastEnders, and Emmerdale led the pack during Sweeps month, with Coronation Street and Days of Our Lives following. General Hospital and Neighbours sit in the middle with what I'd call a "take it or leave it" kind of Sweeps month, and the Bell soaps bombed (per usual).

BTG: A- 

DAYS: B+ 

Eastenders: C

GH was good? I havent watched since Joss went away to do her traininig and Lulu had just called Brooklyn out for having Dante's baby and not telling him

The Bell soaps, B&B and Y&R: cannot watch. If I went by the last time I did I would have to give them both D- but I really don't think it counts when you're not a daily watcher. 

DAYS: B+ (Now this is with the knowledge that for years I have given this show a D- because I've been a fan for too long to give it the F it deserved.)

GH: A+ (With Korte driving this bus to me the show is so much better! IMO we just had the best NB in so many years I cannot count!)

BTG: A solid (Things I love, a few I do not, nothing I hate, still find it in general remarkable.)

Haha. The fact that I stopped regularly viewing at the same time and know what you are talking about is chef's kiss. 

 

I'm slowly bingewatching Nurse's Ball Week. But it's slow for me because a lot of the same tics and writing flaws for me that made me throw up my hands is still evident *cough*CVE*cough* Thankfully, there are some things I like also and from a glance in the GH May Thread, it seem like it had a good Sweeps with good fallout. And do I even need to mention Nina finally slapping the taste out of Carly's mouth?

See? Regardless of her flaws, I do enjoy Korte-headed episodes over CVE-headed episodes because they always seem to have more emotional resonance to long-time fans.
