This and Nicole spraying Febreze don't bother me. When they write it into the dialogue is when it's a no for me.

I'm for Kat vs Eva every day of the week!

Same - it doesn't bother me when it's there, but does bother me when written into dialogue or takes away from emotional/important scenes.

Same!  Love Kat vs. Eva.  I love a catty little relationship that eventually, slowly turns into some kind of acceptance/love for each other.

I like Martin being the middleman. Hope they continue to show him in light and carefree scenes.

C'mon, for Kleenex making their debut.

Hilarious to hear Vernon singing badly.  And we know Clifton Davis in real life is a singer, so he had to do some acting to sing that badly!

I just realized, we've already seen Maurice's Ted last day yesterday, since he isn't on today's episode. I don't even remember who he had his last scene with - was it Eva?

The only thing Martin running for president do was showcase how arrogant and defiant he is. Ignoring his grandparents concerns, giving him a god complex that his secret wouldnt be revealed and how selfish he was in comparisons to his dreams vs Smitty. That was the characterization it gave him and he still possess those traits. Its okay to move away from that given what just happened to his family. Knowing he has a huge secret, it never made sense for him to want to run for president and he's finally thinking logically.

Exactly! All of this. And the writers even found a plausible reason for him to move away from it. Unlike some soaps.

Same. They hit a goldmine with a young rivalry off the bat.

Martin and Smitty's place - coming home from the store with arms full of groceries, and we see Tide in one.  Then the show pauses.  Cut to commercial - and the commercial starts with random family coming home with groceries including Tide.

I guess the internet cat ate my homework. Let's try again.

Exactly!!! The writers even found a plausible reason for him to stop. Something other soaps could never.

Same. They really hit a goldmine on a young rivalry right off the bat.

tbf, he might pop up by the end of the episode. This show is quite good at using that good old Y&R trope.

Samantha looking like Martin’s contemporary.

😂 Went after "Grandma".

Samantha being nasty to Eva means nothing to me, considering she didn't even bother to go to her grandparents' anniversary party.

Martin: "Eva's entry into the Dupree family"

Eva is NOT a Dupree! She is connected to you bc you both are RICHARDSONS

The writing lets Anita as a character down. She has no agency, is completely reactionary, and she and Vernon have the same conversations over and over again.

The stage fright/singing angle is such a lame angle as well. There is no story there. They have TT and need to write something great for her.

I can't manage any interest in the "teens". Maybe it's because I don't care for kids in general. lol. Not sure the purpose of them being on so much other than strife for Martin/Smitty.

Can Jacob take me in? I need rescuing.
