I think it's a bit dismissive to just hand wave all the inaccuracies in this story because we are getting a few weeks of good material off this.

I do agree the follow through is a different discussion, but I would bet in 3 months time everything will be all good in the Lois, BLQ, Dante, Gio world.

I didn't hand wave all the inaccuracies in the story, and I wasn't dismissive. I just disagreed and explained why. I clearly stated that I understood why some people have problems with the story and that I get it.

I did say I was surprised about all the negativity regarding the story, but that's not dismissing those concerns or hand waving them away. I offered another viewpoint, that's all.

But it's from a viewpoint of I didn't watch back then so it didn't happen lol.  It's really not a huge deal.  We generally share the same views.  But ignoring big plot holes doesn't make it a good story because actors are doing great work.

I actually mentioned you had a good point about fallout.

The last few episodes have been good; the acting, the emotions. It's nice to see that GH can still do classic soap opera. I do wish that they would respect their long term audience more and do it without all the silly rewrites though. And where do they go from here?

I'm a bit pessimistic and fully expect the show to go back to the drama-less, boring mess it usually is. I'm giving it a month, tops.

They need to put this new Michael on frontburner every day for as long as they can.  They also need to bring in a new love interest (or many) for him.  Give this actor as much material as possible, please!

I hope this Drew-Michael nephew-uncle rivalry goes on for the long haul.  I was worried they were leading up to a Drew murder mystery, but that would prematurely end some great long-term soapy storytelling.  The Quartermaines don't need any more dead family members, either.

I've got to say GH is the soap I'm enjoying the most right now, followed closely by Days.

I can't wait for Willow's world to come crashing down on her. She is one stupid hoe. To choose Drew over her children is despicable.

I'm loving Rory Gibson as new Michael.

Tracy looks magnificent as always.  Even when nuanced and vulnerable, she radiates magnificence.

Frank Valentini should thank his proverbial lucky stars that JE came out of retirement.

Sometimes I think GH forgets it's Friday lol.  Today's episode was fine, but a letdown after the rest of the week.

In the previews, Gio is shown talking to Sonny.

Are we really going to have Gio decide the first person he needs to see and sort through this mess is Sonny???

That’s kind grandpa patron saint Sonny to you.

I have no idea why Gio would go to Sonny first since he told Emma he thought Sonny knew about him all along.

Maybe to clarify if Sonny knew?  Considering Sonny didn't know Dante was his son back then it doesn't really matter.

I am sure Sonny will make some wise parallel about his father leaving and his mother dying or being lied to by Olivia and Gio will see the light.

I agree. I liked the episode but it felt jarring to suddenly return to a bunch of plots that had been put on pause since the Nurses' Ball started. Although I did like Laura popping in at the end to tell Alexis that millions of dollars have suddenly disappeared from Ace's trust fund.

One set of scenes that made me feel optimistic for the next few months were between Sofia Mattsson and Rory Gibson. While Rory has been good as a darker, colder Michael this week, I was worried that he might not have much range. But he really warmed up with Mattsson, and I thought that (for the first time) Michael and Sasha had some genuine chemistry.

As always loved seeing Ric with Liz. I hope the show forever keeps them in each others orbit even if it’s just platonic. I’m sure she’s going to cut him out when she finds out he’s blackmailing Alexis though. So darn.
