But didn't Dani give up modelling when she married Bill, like 20 years ago?

Why would Pamela still be her bestie when their lives went in different directions decades ago?

And Bill insisted Dani give up modelling, right? And she acquiesced?

I agree with all of that. I know the Cady stans are out there, but I'm not down for adding a character and making it up as they go along. CM is clearly an add-on -- and someone we won't see all that often. It comes off like a favor to give her a job.

The excuses like "Hopefully, it'll all get straightened out" are never made for other soaps, and I'm not accepting that here. Pamela will be gone again before anything is straightened out.

Maybe the problem is that I don't know Cady from her ABC soap days. I know her only from Y&R and DAYS, where I thought she was overwrought and over-the-top far too often.

They had a professional relationship when Pamela was her agent but it’s obvious they built and maintained a friendship after that. I don’t think they were besties when Pam was working for her

Not sure that Andre is quite finished with Ashley yet. That aside Andre gave Dani painkillers and that definitely was not good. I just don't see him as this noble, great character that Dani is dragging down.

He still has an infatuation with her but he's not acting on it and has since hung out with Derek and gotten to know them both as a couple. Things may change, but he's actually been shown to respect them now and move past what he felt for her. And did he give Dani painkillers bc I dontt think that was mentioned. I was iffy on what he had her take but it seemed more like something to help with her hangover. It wasnt nefarious like he was trying to harm her

All I can say is that the nitty-gritty needs to be gotten down to come next month. I am simply not fascinated by the majority of these characters right now.

Dani and Andre: Constantly having sex is NOT a storyline. She’s become obnoxious and he's still a big mystery. How about telling us more about his deceased parents and other possible backgrounds.

The Dupree matriarch and patriarch: They are king and queen of the show, but somehow even they are coming up short.

Are they dropping plot lines left and right? Bill vs. Naomi is now a no go. Martin is no longer interested in running for president and he's no longer all over Smitty about returning to work. Dropping plot lines already as a brand new show ain't good.

Kat and Eva: I know quite a few people are liking this potential sibling rivalry, but it’s just too ordinary for me, like "been there done that" a million times before.

The bottomline for me is I'd like to see some huge surprises and stepping more outside of the box.

How about focusing less on this silly product placement and focusing more on these characters.

I didn't post it because of the persons who bought Febreze. That's not relevant to me.

I posted it because, if you see at the bottom of the image, Febreze replied to the tweet.   Just sayin' that BTG viewers are buying P&G products and P&G is noticing.  Well, maybe it was a generic reply from Febreze that they'd tweet to any consumer.  But still, I hope that P&G is noticing.

It was odd that Andre asked Dani if she wanted another painkilller.  He could have said "aspirin" or something.  Perhaps this was intended to be an over-the-counter mild headache remedy for a hangover, such as aspirin or ibuprofen but they avoided using a brand name? Or maybe they intentionally avoided specifying anything medical?

But saying "painkiller" made it sound like a prescription narcotic, which what I thought at first, but then I soon realized that was likely just aspirin or ibuprofen.

But then looking again at the bottle, it looked like it might be a prescription?  And the pills were orange. Does Dani have a hangover remedy in her bedroom, that Andre knows about?  I don't think he brought it with him?  Maybe I'm reading too much into it.

    • For a show that can seem allergic to drama, that was a surprisingly juicy moment, and much as I hate the term, actually very "soapy." It does seem like something where the beats that need to be played out may not be, so the reveal being as dramatic as it was is a great help. I like that Gio is the one who had that reveal, which was an unexpected twist. And the Nurses' Ball being used for drama but not in a way that felt gross (like a sex tape) or inappropriate (like a serial killer). It helps that Gio is easy to care about when used properly, so we feel bad for him and are invested in his reaction. And it was even in a sweeps period. I do wonder why this didn't happen on a Friday instead of a Thursday. Points to Rena Sofer, who was acting for her life in the background.  I'm glad the director remembered that Ned should have some involvement too.
    • Read her, Mona!!!!!!! And DEAD at 'Good talk.'   Hahahahaha! Of course, Nosy Nurse is listening in to Nicole and NuTed.   And Kat looks great in that red.   Hold up, hold up!!! Is that DEREK with attitude??
    • I've always had faith in Mazza so I'm glad that was a bit rewarded. I think he could've been slightly less loud and I did think the whole bit with smashing the violin was a bit much. While Lulu being both brash and a busybody is 100% in character, I have suspected for some time that making her the well-intentioned but obnoxious heavy opposite Setton/BLQ is not a coincidence on FV's part. Nonetheless, Alexa is great.
    • Tracy's scenes were after June's. Interesting. Just a guess, but Anita was probably to Dante what Diana Ross was to Berry Gordy. Leslie just steps up the crazy each episode. Why was she stealing things out of the hotel room? On a technical note, is Keith wearing the clothes that Maurice wore? That jacket was huge on him and clearly the wrong size. I'm surprised production would let anyone go onscreen looking like that.
    • Y'all could be right that it wasn't Henry Slesar.  But I think it's mighty strange that Russell Kubeck popped in as head writer with seemingly no previous writing credits or experience, then vanished into thin air once Somerset bit the dust.  And when you look at the subject matter of those last 6 months of Somerset combined with Slesar's previous tenure there under his own name --- I dunno.
    • I think there are, they just don't usually get as much of the spotlight. This has long been an issue with GH. It's a little better now than at some points in the past. Lulu at least gets called out for her mess, and Kristina, etc. although in Kristina's case she's just exhausting to watch, and the story is directionless (the biggest issue with the show).
    • It's tiimmmmmmmmmmmmmeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   Aw Hell no...not Silk Press Sheila trying to suck up to Mona.   Yaayyyy!!! Nosy Nurse!!!   NICOLE!!!   Andre looking FOINE in that vest.    NOPE to NuTed in that coat. Tbf that started off that way. I do wonder if that will continue to be an issue going forward.   Same. I really would love if it kept going.
    • The ratings the last few months seemed to hover between the high 4s and mid 5s with an occasional off week when it would almost hit 6.0. Ironically the last week the show was on the air, it did hit 6.2 so it proved that people were available to watch the show.. but had fallen off due to the constant change in focus. It's possible that maybe the final writer was Henry Slesar considering the more crime slant the show took in the final months... but why work against your other show.
    • I have some catching up to do, so I'll come back with more later, but I am watching yesterday's episode... Andre/Derek/Ashely have not sat well with me since day 1, and I can't believe I'm going to say this...but if two had to go, I would pick Ashley and Andre. I cringed at Andre blowing smoke up Ashley's ass and making it seem like she couldn't possibly have done anything wrong to drive Derek away and that if he was in Derek's place, he would never walk out on Ashley because Ashley is just so flawless

Like whhhhaatttt? The girl is sitting there with a mountain of tissues crying over a basic argument that she could easily pick up the phone and end. Sean Freeman's acting choices bother me a bit...they have from the beginning which makes me dislike the character even more. I don't get Andre's obsession with an overgrown "Miss Perfect" like Ashley. Ashley reminds me of the good girl that grew up super sheltered and tried to do well at everything and wanted everything to be a certain way. She's bland. Mama is as spicy as warm milk yet Andre is all over that. Then he's always exhaling that last word and scrunching up his nose and pouting his lips in his Mr. Rogers sweaters and it just makes me mad.
