@Vanguardian53 mentioned the writers should have Andre cook. I actually like that idea, it would be a nice character trait and would come in handy with the ladies.

Ashley and Derek are like the perfect sleeping pill. I just zone out when they’re on - both together and apart. Hate these characters and not a fan of what these boring actors are bringing to the table either.

Here comes Anita and Vernon once again bending to Bill’s whims and trying to get Naomi to drop the lawsuit 🙄.

If someone assaulted your wife/significant other repeatedly, you’d feel protective too.

He's being a good husband. If I got punched in public, nearly shot and had to deal with what Hayley has, Id expect mine to do the same. She's also been advocating on his behalf as we saw in the past week with his daughters. This is what people do in a partnership

Yet he doesn't say sh*t about her always in those people's faces. She's lucky that's all they've done.

Now he's whining that she's being treated like the POS she is by the people at the country club

WTH did he expect???

I had this weird thought about nurse Ashley and her backstory.   According to what I read, Ashley's backstory involved her being raised by a single mother Jan.. and basically being left home alone everyday while her mother worked numerous jobs raising her.   With that type of backstory, I would think a performer could be able to mine something for that to infuse into the character.   So far, she hasn't been able to bring anything to the character.. and the audience is left mystified that she's been featured so much without any sort of personality/agency.

Basic Ashley is the worst. Honestly, I don't think any backstory would save this character and this actor. She feels like someone with almost no personality, no matter who she talks to.

This just my opinion, but they are purposely writing Derek badly. He has no endearing qualities. Giving him tropes like saving a cat is just lame, I'm sorry. It screams BORING.

If they're purposely writing Derek badly, they need to stop. It should have been clear by the end of month one that it's not working.

The difference between Derek and Ashley is that Ashley is given "normal" conversation and dialogue. When Derek speaks, I want to say "Huh? Are you a human?" and I put that as much on the writing as on the actor.
