I actually like the Martin/Dani bond. I think they could play it more because he comes off like the straight (don't!) man to her antics and has kind of a droll, amused reaction to her business while she gets to be kooky but fun with him. It helps that BC has seriously improved.

Just giving some sass about your "straight" remark. Although, they have Martin playing straight in every way except the fact he goes to bed with a man. His personality, his role in his marriage, how he goes about those relationship dynamics. Dani needs to take her and the gays to a gay bar one night...or in soap world...Uptown has a drag night.

I don't see Martin as playing str8 at all tbh. But I do think his intimacy and rapport with Smitty/Mike Manning onscreen has improved by leaps and bounds since the first month or two, when he came off like a cold, robotic controlling spouse.

I don't think Martin was ever seriously going to be depicted running for POTUS, so I don't think it's an issue.

I do love the hilarious Tide plugs. All that's needed next is for the Tide to literally spoon in between Dani and Andre post-coital. "I don't play games, Dre. Not on the runway, not in business and not with these fine linens. I'm about that Oxi Boost."

I swear if they do that re: oxi boosts, I will holler and scare my neighbors.

God I love Trisha Mann-Grant. Can I just say this... without any freaking reason? Well no... actually - there's a huge reason - she's soooo good. SOOOO GOOD. Any episode she's in... I'm wide awake... no missing a beat. I swear if these Emmys don't be careful in nominating her in the future... I'm gonna put on my Sherry wig and do something about it.
