Agree.

Also interested in Emma specifically & also generally.

Yes, this too!! Although Brad can go kick rocks, if you ask me.

Now, I have to say my reaction to Natalia, today, was like another character!  What fire! And, what is the history of these people?!!!

Laura was fine with "good" mobsters for many years (with only a brief pause when she thought her son was burnt alive), so her fawning over Sonny or Heather isn't a huge shock. The main question I have is why viewers are meant to believe she should be mayor, or any kind of moral authority. Then again, we're meant to see Sonny as a moral authority, so why not!

The Nurses Ball was originally created years ago as a fundraiser for AIDS/HIV research/patient care.
Now Sidwell is going to be the sole fund-contributor of the 2025 Nurses Ball? He'd better not be homophobic.
(I mean I don't want a homophobic character anyhow, but especially for this).

The Nurses Ball has become some weird glitzy thing with a red carpet and sequined gowns and professional dancers as extras.  It seems so far from its roots.

I find myself wondering. Why exactly is the show so blatant in trying to white wash Sonny. Who are they trying to convince? The remaining fans of the show clearly know he sucks and they haven’t stopped watching. It’s like they’re trying to convince themselves that the same character they will literally show us murdering others is great because they’re conflicted themselves. It always amazes me that anyone against Sonny is considered a villain. Why? Because he helped out Robin and Stone in the 90’s?

The only time I've found Sidwell interesting is when he had some scenes with Lucas a few weeks ago where Sidwell was clearly flirting with him. So if they plan to make Sidwell bisexual, that would give the character some layers. And it would also be hilarious if homophobic Natalia ended up with a daughter, a son, and an ex-husband who are all part of the LGBTQ community.

Sidwell's layers are "he was on 24 twenty years ago and Frank likes his accent." That's it.

He's Cyrus with a shaved head and a vaguely European air. It's a total waste of time.

Because they are. And it's clear many of them BTS either like Maurice personally too much (or find him too indispensable to the show's ratings) to see objectively.

Further complicating the tedium of the constant Sonny bootlicking is the fact that MB just seems so prematurely aged these days. It’s unbelievable that he’s the same age as Genie and younger than NLG and Finola—in scene after scene, he’s playing opposite women who are so much more vital and locked in than he is.

How do they expect to believe that the friggin Mayor is besties with the local mob boss and that no one in Port Charles, the media, etc. has a problem with it?

Dr. Rolf’s miracle serums are more believable than that

The anniversary show was unwatchable. So many wrong characters featured; so many shallow stories with no connection to the heart of the show.

The constant fawning of Laura over Sonny lately has been ridiculous. Who wants to see any of that? It doesn't do any one any favors. That this is what they're now devoting most of Laura's screen time to is sad. The show continues to use her poorly. The writing for her the last few years has been terrible.

That's the whole question with Port Charles - has there ever been a great deal of indication most of the residents are opposed to "good" mobsters? I suppose if we go back to the '80s or early '90s, but even then, they sent Luke Spencer, a thug and mob associate, in as mayor. Most of the time the only characters who were opposed to the "good" mob were the characters who were meant to be seen as out of touch, like the Quartermaines.

This might not as notable an issue if the main mobster our heroes all love wasn't so repulsive, but then the character was always repulsive, it's just now he doesn't have charisma. There's not a big moral leap from him sexually exploiting vulnerable girls and preying on vulnerable young men on a full-time basis to occasionally killing "bad" people amidst his many apparent acts of wonder and glory. But the spark isn't there, so now it's more of an issue to viewers (some viewers); to the characters, it's 1994 forever.
