date: Friday, March 14 | Ron Carlivati & Lynn Martin | Michael V. Pomarico

  • Ha, Katherine is trying to get rid of Nicole. Love it.
  • Ashley and her deadweight.
  • Weekly family dinner? Oh, la la! Sounds tres chic!
  • Shamiltons?! I love that nickname.
  • Well, Derek is just as possessive as ever, and Andre is even more flirty than ever.
  • Katherine looks stunning, and Tómas is gorgeous!! Loving them together already.
  • Nicole is second-guessing Dani's new chapter? We love when a woman is smart enough to use her brain to realise two plus two isn't equally four!
  • Stealth of a cat? Okay, George, you do your job!
  • Oh, that was actually kind of a chuckle-worthy moment (I did chuckle). "I do not. It's a bomb." So dead in delivery. Brilliant.
  • Anita and Vernon are going to get it on! I love to see it.
  • Dani is off her damn rocker, and I love to see it. Poor George is about to ask for a vacation. Turning on the flirty charm? My man, don't fall for it. PLEASE do not fall for it!
  • Lucille is so grateful Pooniel is safe (and we've got a real-life feline on the set). That's so cute. And Ashley is going to snap on Derek, and I cannot wait for it.
  • 8-3-9-4-2 let's all go show up at the house! I'm going in! But Bill & Hayley coming home early? To Ms. Dani being in their home? I suspect Jacob will be rearresting his mother-in-law very soon.
  • Now that was a kiss (re: Katherine/Tomas). But, oh, is she a virgin? That's a shocker. Amazing and very refreshing.
  • Limo sex?! That is SPICY! I love it, even if I don't love it for the Hamiltons.
  • Ms. Rowena's dessert looks stunning! And, uh-oh, Georgie is about to spill. Can Anita & Vernon make it there in enough time before the Hamiltons arrive home?
  • Katherine's stance on sex is refreshing. I do love it.
  • Oh, Derek is going to snap. And I don't blame him; Andre & Ashley have some fire chemistry.
  • Dani is a drunk. She's a full-out drunk. I'm calling it now.

Next week looks fun, and like a lot of shenanigans is about to happen.

After a week of good episodes today was a bit of a bore. The Friday cliffhanger is Bill and Hayley about to find Dani in their house, but we have already seen Dani turn up in their house uninvited.

I definitely don't think they're painting everything Dani is doing as right. She runs roughshod over her daughters and then has to pull back. And I think her latest actions are part of an ongoing spiral.

I do think they have fun with the character, and I think a lot of the audience is enjoying her (as am I). But I think they also want to show her spiraling and being self-destructive. And they can, in fact, have it both ways I think.

    • Unpopular opinion, but the Chelsea coming out scene reeked of Afterschool Special and I really didn't care that we didn't see her coming out to her grandparents.  We were spared the 'We're Duprees and we're better than everyone' speech. As a gay person, I kind of like watching straight people acting all messy and cringey (which is why I probably have a soft spot for Ashley/Derek... and sometimes wish Jacob would take his balls back from his warden Naomi) LOL If the show were willing to take risks, I would think the Dani arc is basically a 2020's version of Betty Broderick... but I doubt Dani would actually shot/kill Bill and Hayley.  Though I do have a feeling that if Hayley is pregnant that Dani will cause to miscarry the baby.
    • I don't think that's clever, though. Maybe the writers should forget about throwing shade and write dialogue and story for Ashley and Derek that isn't boring and doesn't paint them as boring.   I agree -- both of those still need a ton of work. I still say the fades to commercials look like someone walked past the camera and hit the OFF button.   Yep, this was regression in every way. Dani was all hopped up with Chelsea like she'd taken some party drug, and then it got worse when she literally broke into Bill and Hayley's house.   -- The fakeout scene was good, but I don't want them to go to that well too often. They're already in danger of doing that. -- I'm good with Brandon Claybon's acting style. It's different, but in a good way. -- It was an interesting turn to have Tyrell question Jessica's intentions. -- I didn't see anything special about the plated food on today's show. At Orphey Gene's, it looked like everyone had a plate of french fries.
    • Diana's BSOD in Gary and Abby's hot tub is yet another gif-worthy moment.
    • I'm sure once the next budget comes in, they'll develop another community lot.
    • I agree; she's always spoken highly of her time on World Turns and how they treated her as a professional at that point.
    • That’s why I mentioned another bar.
    • Who says they won't, though? I mean, Bill doesn't even know, yet, either.
    • Julianne Moore has always spoken positively of her time on As the World Turns. She also had the good fortune of being on that show during the Calhoun/Marland era when it was at its creative peak. Hard to believe that April 2 was 40 years since Julianne Moore first As the World Turns episode.
    • You forgot Uptown. They eat and meet up there too. And don't forget Kat & Tomas' date in the Richardson living room.
    • Today was the Dani I can’t stand. She had been doing so good for a few weeks here.
