Anita and Vernon = love, BUT I need the exposition to cease. They're telling instead of showing us. At this point, I don't need their backstory of how they fell in love every scene. We know it at this point. The chemistry is there. What I loved was watching them get saucy with each other at the end of the episode. I need more for them! I wanna know more about Anita's band members. I know Anita was Diana (Ross) in that group. Where are the other bitter band members?! Paging Vicky Rowell, Amelie Marshall, and Debbie Morgan!

Hayley is a weirdo. How can you expect a subdivision that was built by Dani's family to accept you? Girl, you should've moved to another gated community and established yourself as "queen bee" there. I'm over her whining. Girl, you got Bill. Be happy.

Jenifer Lewis might be out of the shows budget but she would be a good choice to play one of Anita's group mates. I think can play a serious role and dial back the comedy.

I think Hayley is more interested in status than Bill. Having him is useless without being in with the in-crowd.

this show has lots of sister pairs but so far no brothers that I can think of

None at all. But I expect some to turn up.

Hayley all about the come up in the vein of Brenda Dickson original recipe Jill Foster and Brooke Logan.

Love all of these Dupree moments.

The end of episode #1 after Dani confronted Hayley, when all the Duprees walked out one by one and glared disparagingly at Hayley as they passed her.

The wedding when Anita wordlessly got everyone to sit down and *not* stand for the bride's entrance.

Today with the family giving the collective stare at Tomas

There have been a few more, mostly wordless, and all iconic in my mind.

I totally agree. I love how we still get moments every few moments. Such a real family.

Now that I think about it...was the last one before today the one when they did their model walks...outside of the pictures at Nicole's award event?

Exactly the parallel I see too. It would be fun to see that Hayley lied about not having family because she just doesn't like her relatives for being poor.

Do you mean here the Dupree Strut scene? If so, I believe it was in E10. Honestly one of the most fun scenes in any soap. This?

These moments are some of my favorites since it's inception.

Hate to say it, but Kat isn’t a favoriteanymore. I don’t mind her going after Eva, but the character just isn’t what I thought she would be.

How did you envision her? If you don't mind me asking. :)

Yep, yep. A fun moment!

Maybe Leslie did steal her from them somehow, I think something like that could work and could be soapy. Especially considering her ongoing feud with Kat. It would be dramatic enough if she's Ted's daughter but to somehow make her Nicole's long-lost daughter as well, would bring even more fuel to their already heated rivalry.

Kat is being described as Nicole and Ted's "miracle baby" in the descriptions, yet we don't know the reason why since they already have a kid. That they had a child that "died" in the hospital and then got pregnant again would explain why they'd consider her a "miracle".

Agreed about Kat vs. Eva. They’re one of the reasons why I hope this Leslie storyline plays out for a long time. Let this feud build and build, over Nicole, over Tomas, etc. until all hell breaks loose.

Naomi suing Bill’s firm seemed kinda random but I think it could be interesting.

And honestly, I don’t know if they want us to have sympathy for Hayley but if they are, it’s working for me.

I know I was discussing RC, the forthcoming Jamey scripts, and the like this morning. And this episode was scripted by Lynn Martin who also did the script for the RC breakdown. And it was like night and day from that Friday episode. So perhaps once Jamey's first script arrives, it will be the same versus what he wrote on DAYS.

Watch the February 5th episode of Days, and you’ll see why I’m not looking forward to Ron/Jamey 2.0 🤮😂😂

Tuesday episode: A-

One of their best episodes yet with a few exceptions.  The Joey/crime plot seems like it has Guza written all over it.

The Dani plot still seems a mess. Everything related to her, Haley and Bill in this episode seemed like it was completely divorced and disconnected from the plot turns in the prior two episodes. Either I have DID, or Dani does or the writers do. Weird.

The country club family scenes were very well written, directed and acted with the exception of Tomas' scenes. He still can't act.

LOL. I still think it's a good counterpoint because I (outside of the Kat/Tomas date) loathed Friday's episode. Weakest of all the episodes to date. Watching the HW name rotation on GH and focusing on what those episodes are like so I know WHO to shade, Friday's episode vs yesterday's episode of BTG was like a vindication to me. Because how is it that I loved yesterday's episode and how it moved vs Friday's. Same script writer. It had to be the breakdown writer and I saw who did Friday's vs yesterday. Given the discussion I've seen on Jamey's work all over the various threads, I'm actually curious to see how he works.

Speaking of script writers, I'm also really looking forward to Jazmin Brown's next script.
