I've been enjoying the show a lot this week, but the past couple of days of Jason/Sonny scenes remind me how much more I would be enjoying it if they didn't have to feature Maurice Benard three days a week. Some of his line readings today were just painful.

Kristina better be sent to Shady Pines after tampering with Ava car.

Dumb ass tampered with the wrong car.

Wouldn't she know it wasn't Ava car?

-- Daniel Cosgrove is doing a good job as Ezra. Obnoxious as all hell.

-- I have to LOL every time Sonny pulls a gun on someone. It's sad no one can tell Maurice Benard how ridiculous he looks.

-- Am I imagining things, or has the music REALLY been amped up on this show?  The dramatic, full-throated cues seem to be everywhere.

I think something is wrong.

But about Kristina & which car, the show very carefully & clearly let us know that Ric was parked in Ava's spot. That Kristina damaged the brakes in Ric's car rather than Ava's was a set-up, plain & simple.

To me the most interesting thing about this, well besides Ava saying something really awful to set off Kristina, but back to my point, it's not that she wigged out or even that she knew how to do this to a car, but that she regretted it & wanted to undo it. That, I did not expect.

I enjoyed today. I like Elizabeth in peril and it should be done more often. Emma had a good scene today. Trina finally found a good scene to be in.

Monica was mentioned today. So was Holly.

I love Emma. I think she is a morally inverted Esme.

So Kristina is a mechanic now eh?

I hated Molly reaching out to repair the bond first, further allowing Christina to skirt responsibility.

Kristina was remarkably restrained after discovering Ava not helping Sonny. I expected her to explode more than that, especially since her next move was to kill Ava. That scene reminded me of Tracy and Edward in the 70s.

Good to see Stephen A Smith took a pause from his beef with LeBron to make an appearance on GH lol!

Sasha taking up for Sidwell was just embarrassing.

Kirsten storms looks fantastic. Maybe it's because I don't watch any of her scenes when I browse through online , but it seems like she lost the weight overnight!

    • What if they were originally cast as Vanessa and Doug's twins and then were moved to Samantha/Tyrell when the show decided to delay introducing the twins? It's a shame they didn't stick with the original plan.

    • I don't think some of Samantha's hairstyles have worked with the ponytails and bows making her look like an older adult wearing a 10-year-old hairstyle.    Bows work on Kat much better for Kat's age and personal style. We've known since the start that Eva was a hairstylist before she began working for Nicole.  I like that they brought that back, with Ted arranging for her to work at a high-end salon.  Yesterday's scene with Martin bringing Eva over for pizza with his family, and then Eva doing hairstyles for Samantha worked (for me). I did think that the new hairstyle that Eva created for Samantha was less "little girl" and somehow even though more mature, it made the actress Najah look less aged. Can't quite explain it, but she looks better now.
    • That backdoor pilot may have failed, yet one year later "Empty Nest" became a reality anyway, so it wasn't a complete waste of time.

The show was completely revamped of course, but still....
    • Honestly, either 6-7 and 10-11 would've worked better. But maybe they wanted actors who wouldn't be held to child labour laws and needed them to be able to act, especially if they're (eventually?) going to go with their bio mama showing up (June??).
    • I thought it interesting that in the Claybon/Manning youtube with Michael Fairman, Brandon Claybon said Samantha and Tyrell were initially supposed to be 6 and 7, but aged up for technical reasons, first aged up to 10 or 11, and then finally to 16 and 17.  (Not sure what "technical reasons" means but that's what he said.) Claybon didn't mention when this decision was made to change the ages of the children. No mention of when this happened during the process of casting/writing/preparation. Just speculating: I wonder if Najah Jackson and Jaden Lucas Miller were cast later than other recurring actors due to this change? - so maybe that's how they selected Ms. Jackson?
    • Damn, there was a tiny pre-emption where I'm from and I missed the Kat/Nicole scene, according to recaps.
    • That Kristina caused the accident.
    • I'm unclear:  What specifically does Lucky know about Elizabeth's accident and Kristina?
    • Lucky and Alexis covering up Kristina's crime is disgusting. It makes no sense he'd be covering for Kristina.   Drew's plan to get custody of Michael's children was laughable and lame.
