More than three hours after the show concluded on the East Coast, Beyond the Gates has finally fallen out of the #2 spot on X/Twitter trending. The show is currently #5:

I think the font is fine. When you click on the image shared above you'll see the font looks normal when displayed on TV like other shows.

No, no, no. That was not a complaint. lol. I really, really like the font. It's one of my quirky random things I like. I would just love it if it was bigger...if that makes sense. Not hating on it at all.

Looking forward to reading this.

I did not care for her directing on Days. I was hoping for Owen Renfroe from YR.

My screengrab of MVJ's name as creator was while the show was playing (I didn't stop the feed).  I didn't quite grab the best view.    It's not large, but it does stand out.

Interesting how they didn't put the date as the title of the episode as Y&R and B&B do. Instead, they used Episode #1.001, referencing season 1, episode 1 of at least 249 to go.

Maybe after this week, they'll follow the Y&R/B&B format? I can't fathom them keeping things this way while B&B/Y&R does another show.

A couple of people have commented about "all the commercials" during BTG.

I just checked, and today's GATES clocks in at almost a minute LONGER that Y&R, which is close to drifting below the 36:00 mark.

I thought he was naked under the apron at first too, but he was just wearing jeans with no shirt.  Other than that, their scenes really were completely boring.  I certainly didn't care that it was her first day as a nurse, or even about this hospital where nobody else central to the main stories seems to work.  I'm going to hold off for now on saying it was bad acting; maybe I just wanted to get back to the Duprees, which I very much did and that's a good thing.

They should have just had the

stay-at-home dad be the one wearing the apron—and truly only the apron—when Martin got home.  That could have been the reveal that he's gay...kind of a reversal of the "twist" at the end of the pilot of Mad Men.

Ted Richardson, Nicole's husband, is a doctor. More action will happen in the hospital in the next couple of days.

I love the SON Community. Only we seem to give a damn about things like the first lines of soap characters.

This is what I live for! Y'all are amazing!

I forgot Kat, who had this chunk of exposition as her first line:

"We'll be changing it soon enough. In the meantime embrace what you do! People will be interested in our brand because you're Chelsea Hamilton, fashion icon and social media influencer. We'll be tapping into that a lot, so don't knock it."

Right. Y&R is about 34-35 minutes. BTG is 36-37 minutes.

I want to call them random, but I feel like they are there not only for the meta fact that historically black characters have been the Talk-Tos/C plot for years and now that role is flipped. But at the same time, they are used to grow in that part of the demographic...just in case.

TBF, Vanessa was all over the show. I think the random white couple is supposed to represent the "downstairs" for now that will inevitably be tied into the Duprée drama. Health care workers are always going to get dragged into soapy messes!
