I'd be surprised if it was anyone else. Either him or Olivia (passing from one Q wife to another)

Watch the show thow a curve ball and give it to Drew. I read she adopted him. I could see some BS where she never updated her will when Jason returned

That would probably be the most dramatic, but it would make me nauseous.

I hope Tracy finds some loophole to banish Drew from that family forever.

As a side note, we need to pass a law that Jane Elliott must live forever. I am more grateful than ever she’s returned full time and is the last real vestige of that family.

I think unsuspecting Monica giving it to Drew would be great soap. They were very close, something that did carry over with Cameron for awhile before Leslie stopped appearing. And it would also set the stage for what I still think is the inevitable Who Killed/Shot Drew story, though I'm sure they'll bungle it if they do it.

As for Jason Q, Steve will never allow Jason to get his memories back. So I would do it after he either decides to leave (as he's claimed he'll do in the next couple years, yeah right) or is fired. Jason gets his memories back but becomes a fusion of both Jasons, begins trying to set his house right and make amends to his long-lost loved ones while still loving all the people who've been in his life since. He goes to his family's graves and begs forgiveness; he tells Robin he still loves her the same while also remembering her as a young girl chasing after him, Karen and Brenda; he has a reckoning with Carly who he still cares for and pleads with Sonny to follow his example. Opts to give his money to charity and decides to turn himself in. On the way to the PCPD he is gunned down by one of his enemies and dies in his son's (Jake) arms. That's the end of Jason. Hey, it might get Steve an Emmy. But again, I feel weird talking about this in here.

It's hard to imagine where they'd be without Jane. I'm glad they have allowed Tracy to have more layers.

I felt the writing for Monica vs Tracy often lacked depth, but Leslie and Jane always gave their best.

I was watching a clip on Twitter where Monica was looking at the family tomb and it just reminded me of how ghoulish the show's choices were to slaughter so many Quartermaines. Bless Leslie for playing the material in such an understated way to emphasize the sense of loss Monica had without gnashing teeth. Leslie always underplayed Monica's grief, which made it hit harder.

It ends with a quietly sweet moment where she wishes Lila a happy birthday as we see her grave.

That would be a great idea, even if Steve will never do it.

He wouldn't have a choice, if he's already retiring/quitting or fired. He could play it and maybe win an Emmy, or if he refuses you could do something much more quick and brutal.

When GH has Monica pass away I hope both Denise Alexander (Lesley) & Rachel Ames (Audrey) are able to appear for Monica's memorial.

I'm not usually one to defend Burton, given my true disdain for him, but I have a feeling he'd be more likely to do the storyline now than he would back in the day.

I've seen Leslie Charleson's 3 guest appearances on the 1971-76 TV show Cannon. She's great in each one! Probably the best of the 3 is her first appearance, from 1972,  "Sky Above, Death Below" (Cannon Season 2, episode 2). It's the best written of the 3. She's so spunky and full of life!

Given what he has gone on to play that he wouldn't when he was younger, I can see that as well.

Great and well deserved NYT obituary

But the article's episode count seems way off.  If @jcar03 counts 1000+ episodes since 2000...surely she appeared in way more than 2000 total since joining in 77 and being front burner for much of the 80s and 90s.
