Lol.  It's not even like I can't remember ER's Lulu stories if prompted, but it all becomes a blur of weird children popping up and Dante cheating with Valerie.

I definitely cannot tell you how she went from Kate's assistant to reporter, but at least I know that happened.😂

I don't remember anything after Valerie (except Frank's OLTL employment subsidy for Mark Lawson as Dustin). I do think an adventurous reporter is an ideal job for her, but Emme was the wrong choice.

All I can say is Lulu uttering the words they must immediately find Charlotte today gave me dread in my heart.

I don't think a reporter is a bad career for Lulu.  I just can't remember the progression of this career path.

There wasn't one! But that's soaps for you.

I would give anything to have Charlotte erased, I'm with you.

Okay, I really like AH as Lulu!

KS needs to lose the false eye lashes and that red lipstick, both look horrid on her

I wouldn't go as far as "best soap on TV" not with all the retcons and the damn propping of Frank's pets. IMO Lulu/AHB is the ONLY good thing this show has going for it

I’m going to have to disagree with Lulu/AH being the ONLY good thing when you have Rick Hearst lighting up every scene he’s in. But to each their own.

I'm enjoying both.

Loved the Lulu and Laura reunion. Genie Francis really excels at this kind of stuff and once again AH showed she’ll have no problem matching the acting talent of the Spencer fam vets. I’m glad Lulu slick got on Laura for letting Cyrus creep around her and loved when she went into full mama bear mode when she found out about Charlotte. I hope she lights Anna up when the time comes. Kevin asking “who’s Ace” was funny, I wish they would find something interesting for Jon Lindstorm to do instead of babysit.

I’m glad Anna was beating herself up over letting Valentine go free and I honestly wish Jason would have told her to piss off but that’s not his character and capers seem to be the go-to Jason plot for this regime.

I liked the Dante/Cody/Brook Lynn scenes even if they were a bit contrived. The group does have a nice chemistry and Brook Lynn’s shady reaction to Lulu being awake made me laugh. I’m honestly not mad at where this plot is clearly headed with the random camp backstory mention, I just hope they play the beats and drama properly

Molly and Alexis paralleling TJ/Jordan/Curtis was good stuff. I really feel for both Molly and TJ with this breakup and Molly crying over missing Sam towards the end was sad.

I enjoyed the Ric and Ava scenes but I’m curious where they will go after this trial is finished. Ric still fits in fine on the canvas but I feel like Ava had more legs going full heel than she does now. I guess they will play the custody battle for Avery but then what else is there to do with Ava?

I said it before; it is insane Willow and Sasha have both been here near the balance of 10 years, insane that Curtis and Jordan are still here

All of their characterizations are so paper thin you’d think they were 3 month newbies still being workshopped on the canvas. I can’t believe these folks have been around for as long as they have and still got 0 definitive traits.

Once she gets custody of Avery thanks to Ric ;) Perhaps letting her be that characters the audience love to hate.

IKR. Even just introducing what could happen makes some of the other characters in that age range even more irrelevant than they already are.

Remarkable how BLQ shows up down at the stables in what @Darn accurately describes as Scrooge McDuck pajamas. Ready to dive into that big pile of gold! You know Chase was in that bed last week sweating like “for the baby’s sake I hope these robes aren’t super absorbent 😓

These folks remain real casual all the time about eating right next to piles of horse dung. But if this was Y&R the horses would be kept in a) the ranch drawing room and b) drawn by the crew's children.

Deeply annoyed the Gio thing appears to be legit - fInally they'd hired a cute young dude who isn’t needlessly related to everyone or giving attractive, viable younger adults under 50 more adult children that age them unnecessarily. Psych! Whether he turns out to be Dante or Cody's (something Darn posited, and I could see it) it is a huge mistake. I actually had thought Dante and BLQ was a solid screwball/straight man pairing at some point but thanks to this, no way. They're all gonna come off even more middle-aged. Chase looks practically young enough to be Gio's fraternal twin if you shave the beard.

Why do Anna and popstar Skye Riley in Smile 2 have the same extra-ass jungle wallpaper? Sonny’s old island hoes are looking at it like ‘a bit much’. I think Anna even got this prefurbished from Sasha IIRC. Frank was like fûck it, not changing a thing! Anna's ready to take Jason on safari in the other room, crying all the way. I have said this a million times, but once more: Anna spent half the Cold War taking down the worst kind of people. She has killed God knows how many terrorists yet she comes back on this show in 2012 with Finola clearly worried she isn’t showing enough range and suddenly it’s tears over capping Carlos Rivera, tears over Sonny, Jason, Billy Joel, now this Maniac Mansion mutant child he's created with Lulu's eggs. Ron Carlivati got her right the first time in 2012 in those great scenes with RM’s Heather in the interrogation box where Heather was trying to do a deal to give up where Robin was and Anna very calmly said there’s no deal, I’ve spent my career closing people out, talk or die. And Heather did it too! That's the character.

I love Anna but I hate that this goes on and has become such a part of the latter-day characterization. IMO Finola too often plays against harder material (as she did often this year under Mulcahey re: Sonny, constantly getting choked up over her dilemma with this mobster) to prove she's got more range than being an '80s superwoman, but she has absolutely nothing to prove at this stage of her career. She's one of the greats, and she still does a lot of great work on the show - she just doesn't always do it in the right place. This will never get changed about Anna again but it still drives me nuts practically everyday.

The constant tearing up over every little thing Finola is doing is reminding me of JJ’s previous return.

So back when Carly hired AL's Brook to seduce Dante away from Lulu wasn't it established Dante/Brook Lynn never were romantically involved previously?  They were just good friends?

I know everyone wants to forget that era in BLQ's life, but I remember it being clear neither had romantic feelings for one another hence Brook drugging him.  It would have actually made more sense at the time to give BLQ/Dante a backstory, but the show went with a Brenda/Dante backstory instead.

Anyhow, that's obviously changed.  BLQ/Dante haven't hinted at romantic feelings once in last 15 years so that's just odd.

If I remember, Lulu left Crimson because it wasn't her dream/desire to work for the magazine. She did it because Maxie asked her to. 🤣 Let's pray she doesn't ask her to join the Deception team.

Yes, it was, and Brad introduced Brook Lynn to Cody, as well. So, this whole thing is a major retcon re-write. Half of the material of which was written when Chris Van Etten was head writer, so it's a major "YIKES" moment. Especially when your other co-head writer, Elizabeth Korte, is supposed to be a historian of the show itself. YIKES x2!

So they're reconning this back to when all 3 were at Summer Camp when they were like 16/17?? Isn't Dante supposed to be way older than BL?

Oh, yeah, this is a retcon for a kind of soap wayback machine!!! But, seriously, isn't Brook Lynn like 30-something? How old do you think Dante is? Aren't they with Lulu the same age group?
