No spoilers, but tomorrow’s US episode is a treat for the production values, directing, music, and flashbacks used.

You can see why they needed Ed Scott back to handle production…

I'M SALIVATING! 😍

I think some of the recent music selection (well from this week) has been in the style of the old music in some scenes, but not quite it.

Tomorrow’s US episode actually uses a lot of the classic cues, and not just for flashbacks.

Music to my ears! Literally! Lol

Is the CA broadcast online (for someone in the USA to see)?

It will be up at this link tonight or early tomorrow morning. You'd need a VPN from outside Canada
https://watch.globaltv.com/series/32666602
You'd want to wait for episode labeled "Nov/07/2024" to be uploaded.
That's the one that airs Nov. 7 Canada and Nov. 8 USA.

Nikki has fantastic hair and clothes Thursday.

Finally!!!!! MTS had looked so homely for a few months and it was totally awful to see her dressed so poorly. I’m so glad to see them finally giving style to her again.

Susan Walters looked amazing as well as finally the Thursday ep gave us official clue it’s all been a setup.

I also think it's the Director of the episode. Owen Renfroe directed today's US episode and he's known for incorporating a lot of cinematic shots and angles. You'll always notice the directing with him, and with Sally McDonald (the last Bell-era remaining member on staff).

IIRC Renfroe came over from the Guza GH crew with JFP. I may be wrong. The Guza production staff kept things atmospheric in those years even as the writing sank.

Her name is Mandy Line, but she's not made it into the credits yet. Outgoing Costume Designer, David Zyla, is still credited. Perhaps Mandy shows up in the credits next week in time for the 13K episode?

Yes, Renfroe is a FOJ that stuck around Y&R and has proven himself with both the cast and crew there (I've heard he's very beloved). His work is very artistic/cinematic, and like I said, you can always tell when either he or Sally McDonald are directing. His work on GH was also quite stellar as he did a lot of key episodes during Guza's various sweeps stunts storylines.

Also, I want to revisit what the hell is really going on with this show's classic library of music. Friday's US episode is basically all classic cues, and there's instances where they'll dig some of classic stuff up from time to time. We've heard all that stuff about Sony selling off the show's original music, but it doesn't look like that's the full story or a 100% true thing.

I also seriously doubt they have the budget to keep paying for music they used to own but have since sold away.

Losing a lot of those guys with FV's arrival did a terrible number on the look of GH since the '90s (Renfroe started in '01 I believe, but he kept up the house aesthetic that preceded him). I know the fog, docks, etc. had its detractors, but I think it held up for many years.

Costume Designer Mandi Line posted October 4th on her IG that she had been at Y&R for one week... (Looks like she spells her name as Mandi)
