Y&R: Ed Scott Returns As Senior Producer

I guess the question is why do they feel they need Ed Scott back on the producing team after all this time and after not having a Senior Producer on the team for this recent Griffith regime to date? Also, why did this warrant an announcement to an industry trade like Deadline? That doesn’t happen when producers who are not EP’s come in and out of various soaps.

Are production matters so messy and fiscally irresponsible that they need someone like Scott to come in and sort out after all this time? If so, they’re really turning a blind eye to Griffith’s mismanagement of resources.

Did they? It was never backed up by any evidence. Just cryptic comments. They seemed more interested in grabbing attention and putting down other posters.

Back to Mr Scott.

As Toups stated the announcement makes one think there is more to it, but upon reflection, I'm starting to think it is just some backstage shuffling and Scott's experience is needed to get the production side of things working more smoothly.

At 80 yo he might be at the point where he just wants a low profile gig.

Hope I'm wrong but...

I do agree, they were rather cryptic about a lot of things, but I’m just curious if they stopped posting here altogether or what happen? I believe their last comment was “F**k this racist show” in regards to Cane getting all of Devon’s money or whatever happen at the time. Which is hindsight cause Canes been off the show for the last 5 years now.
