This dude is not untalented but too old lol. And if you have me choose between keeping him or Hudson West it's no contest. Very strange how much they've over-aged so many kids that should've stayed younger.

Irna Philips would be proud. Now if only she could convince them to push Sonny into oncoming traffic.

Maybe a slightly aged Jake will return in 2025? And I agree, re: Rocco.

Unless it's HW I don't want it.

This dude can stay since Jake and Aiden really aren't that far apart in age but he def is notably and awkwardly older, and strangely so for Jackson and Herbst. DRW's comparison to Depression-era teenagers and their parents is accurate lol. Though if it were up to me Rocco, Aiden, Georgie and maybe Danny would go back to being 9-12 tomorrow. I just don't care.

I have a sneaking suspicion that Hudson West is done. I hate to say it.

I think he's well-cast in the role although I suspect Crew Morrow auditioned for Aiden, too, given that he said he auditioned for both Days of Our Lives (Tate?) & General Hospital prior to being cast on The Bold and the Beautiful.

It wouldn't surprise me given his exit, but I still don't care! He's the only one of those I'm invested in, he carried half the show on his back for a lotta lousy years when he was what, 9? 10?

I agree... but his acting, for me, got considerably worse as he grew up. Those scenes when Charlotte got shot were horrendously acted.

I blame the hellspawn! He did fine earlier this year (and when Drew was attacked in prison).

CC comes off too old to be Aiden, but I'm sure he'll be replaced again.  HW has been pulling his weight better and longer than most child actors go. He deserved a contract and to be part of the next generation high school to college characters (unless it was his choice not to).  Rocco loks too old as well, but Finn Francis Carr's scenes with Dante and "Lulu" talking about himself came off really well, especially when he talked about a girl maybe "checking him out". Violet, on the other hand, that mess needs to move away with her dad.

I also remember the scenes where Elizabeth invited Lucas over to dinner with Brad for Aiden's benefit. They could have followed through over the years but important <cough> characters like Frankles and Hammy Finn were more important<coughs>. Lucas was shortshrift, as always.

I don’t get the high Hudson West praise but Jake was still a dead baby the last time I watched before tuning back in in 2023 so I don’t have any attachment to him as a performer. He’s not awful but I didn’t see him doing anything outstanding with the Charlotte shooting or Jason return rebellion that would make me mad if he got replaced. Jake’s college send off scenes felt very “see ya later kid we’ll be SORASing when the time is right” and I’m more than fine with that.

I agree, HW might have been fine as kid actor, but a lot of his recent scenes as he got older and into being a teen were cringey and badly acted, IMO. Maybe he has room to improve, but Jake can be recast with a stronger actor if they ever need him or want to write for him.

Last I spoke with a rep at ABC, Hudson West was still playing Jake. Additionally, I'm aware that Hudson wants to continue playing the character but the show just hasn't been using him. That said, I do expect them to recast because Hudson is turning 17 in March, and Colin (new Aiden) is somewhere between 22-23 in real life, having graduated H.S. in 2020.

Colin was solid today so I am open to see were they take Aiden with him in the role.

With how they wrote out Jake and with WR  (Cam) busy with Music and his Amazon show I would not be shocked to see recasts of both Jake and Cam if GH wants them for longer stays.

Can you confirm (probably not) that Crew Morrow auditioned possibly for Aiden? 😉

I've seen that everywhere as well, but they also said William Lipton would be returning for visits  and he came back a lot later for a funeral. I'm simply saying that he's been around for a while and deserved to be upped to a contract rather than being shipped off to an art school in another country. Especially now that they (ugh) brought Jason back. At the very least there is an opportunity to play the beats, every couple of weeks of the two connecting -- positively or adversely. With Charlotte off canvas, create a new character for him to interact with (or age Georgie a year or two). Same with Aiden -- add Tobias (nicknamed Toby or not) in a once every few weeks role.
