Well...gotta get the good out of the way.

It was nice to see Robert Adamson as Michael again.

And I LIVED for Tracy/Ned vs Drew. Not that she doesn't all the time, but JE was playing cat that ate the canary to the hilt. And her reaction to Ned naming James as the person who heard was priceless. Drew has become so unsufferable, but he has ALWAYS been that when it comes to ELQ which I have always felt was Tracy and Ned's right as the OG Qs so I was living for them blackmailing him. And it says something about how Drew feels as a Q that he immediately gave himself up.

You know what? The breakdowns of Cody and Sasha are actually giving. And I feel that's because the actors not the writing. I was worried that Sasha was adjusting better than Cody, until that coda at the end. Good. And even the flashback to what Cody said was well-done. Even watching it for real, I felt that scene resonated so well-done on JK who also did a good job with Drunk Cody. And the whole plot beat reached a new level of good when MAC walked into the station. I know what today means for me so seeing a father/son scene play out before me with an actor who I love who plays a great dad was going to make me go awww. And that sells the character of Cody more which is why we should always have our vets. :)

It's a small thing...but I liked the follow-up on Lulu/Sam's surgery. Go, Isaiah. So in a way...Lucky helped.

Now the bad...

Drew couldn't even debate being blackmailed for an episode? I don't know whether to call him a POS...cuz he only did it to spite Ned/Tracy rather than to protect Michael...or a case of rushed writing.

And speaking of the reveal to Michael...how...anticlimatic? I was at least hoping for it to happen at an election rally or something.

And Dante proposing to Sam. Salt in wound much?

They made sure to give her quite the onscreen and final death. Which I still think is dumb when Hartley is around if you hate Monacco so much.

I don't think Hartley would have wanted a full-time stint.

Its just the way things were written this past week; everything seemed to be falling into place for everybody, everyone was happy and now, BAM, the rug is pulled out from under them.

It just seems like they’re  to try to hurt every other character in the process as well.

That should, on paper, mean a lot of great aftermath or story, but you know how that goes.

And why is Cody so anti-Drew all of a sudden?

You could say Cody feels like Drew has everything and he has nothing, but I don't know if that is intended.

I don't think she would either. Loves her directing if I'm not mistaken.

Allegedly she turned it down at least once; her career at Lifetime? Hallmark? wherever behind the scenes seems very lucrative for her.

I am just glad folks are catching up to Cody and Tracy which I def thought PM was playing with. But if it does happen I expect this crew to squander it the same as they have Drew/Willow/Nina and Candidate Drew. They seem very avoidant of any drama that's too legitimately soapy or scandalous (except Sonny killing people, of course). It's so deranged that, just like Jason and Carly's aborted wedding night in 2021 before Steve left, they've done this entire storyline without Drew or Willow ever actually having an affair. Given how sexually charged that whole area of the canvas seemed in spring-summer you can't tell me they wouldn't have fucked by now.

There was some excellent chemistry between CM and both women and they did nothing with it essentially. I was very excited when the very obvious seeds of the story first were even planted. So disappointing how it turned out.

Can't believe how goofy as hell this publicity shot I saw on Twitter is (it's from 2020). Probably the life Michael Quartermaine should have lived.

I could see that.

It just seemed very random and out of nowhere.

Chad Duell often appears bored, but he was awake and alert in Michael’s scenes with Sasha yesterday.

It's actually from 2019, but we never got it until 2020. But yes, Michael & Sasha were the superior pairing.

Because he was given actual material.

I have been waiting for a bastard Michael storyline for a decade. Instead of perfect Michael, who has dominated this show since he was born like no other child ever on GH. Give him material. Let him be a heel for once. It’s something new!

Just think, it took far less trauma for Marland to justify turning Barbara Ryan into a bitch that was going to get Tom Hughes, no matter what stood in her way. Give us mean Michael!

I wish both Carly's spawn were messier than their current incarnation; both Joss and Michael. Joss should've started a toxic affair with a professor at PCU, and Michael's recent betrayal should lead him down a dark road. However with Van Etten and Valentini, we all know none of the above would ever play out on our screens.

The mere fact Michael went "Michael Quartermaine" (his best era), took Avery and then forgave Sonny for murdering AJ.... smfh. "Michael Quartermaine" was Carly's worst nightmare... and he should have stayed.

Le sigh. A whole ass mess.

The biggest mistake? The fact the New/Old Writers took any tension from the end of the last episode and went ahead and hit NEXT DAY rather than play it out from where they left off. And then...those shaking camera angles for Sasha/Michael...uhhh NO. I'll give credit for the twist of Michael/Sasha sleeping together with the nice foreshadowing of them having scenes again...but this was all lazy writing AND sloppy. It would have been nice to have Michael show up at the bar at the end of last episode, do your actor switcharoo, and then let the scene play out with a nice coda at the end of THIS episode. It would not at all interfere with the other story beats in this episode which still could have taken place. And now that Michael knows the kiss was not a one-off thing...I can't even get excited about him getting payback on Drew because I can't trust the New/Old Writers to NOT be sloppy.

And now look at Drew. SMH. So much potential under PM. And now he looks like a creep. I was happy to watch Willow give him the business since she should have told Michael. If anything going forward, I guess it's not a bad thing to see with the breakup of Sasha and Cody that Sasha is being spun back into Michael/Willow/Drew orbit with some Cody mischief. But out of all of them, I am wondering what Cody's next moves will be. So the scenes with Cody this week have done their job. I feel more invested in him. Hm.

Since I now knew it was coming, the hospital scenes felt paint by numbers. Those I enjoyed seeing Scout and Danny with Jason. And I enjoyed Alexis with Sam and Jason. But as soon as Portia and Liz ran off...I knew. And I liked how that scene played out of Jason suspecting. I felt SB gave a lot. I know some people online did not like how NLG came across. I guess I can see it, but I didn't feel she was tanking her scenes or anything. Meanwhile, given what was said here, I was worried that VH was going to come across camp AF. That said...VH did good to me, the reaction of a brother trying to save his sister. And I've watched ATWT and know how over the top his acting can be. I found that restrained for him, but still in the moment. And Portia and Liz were still more restrained and emotional than him. It was a nice contrast.

That said...I didn't like how it went down for Sam. And sounds like it will be a case of run her over with a truck and back up over her. And given the online rumors and KM's last airdate...I guess the backlash will show itself soon enough if the rumors are true.

So far...Tuesday has been my favorite episode this week. But this week as a whole is coming across so sloppy.

Agree. I enjoyed how PM may all naysayers take notice of characters who had been so useless. And I ate it up with how adult it came across. Only for it to turn into THIS.

Willow with her halo. Drew coming across as a creeper. Nina just a cameo.

It really does. Very random.

Ooooh clearly.
