Those Holly and "Sasher" scenes were painful to watch. They have no chemistry as mother and daughter. Sasher also has none of the charisma that Robert and Holly had. Their daughter should have been an entirely new character. Another good idea turned bad by poor execution.

Funny you say that because a lot of people, (probably Sonny/Carly fans), were really upset that Sonny was with Nina and went so far as to claim that not only was he being written out of character because he was acting disloyal to Carly and her kids and Sonny "in character" would never turn his back on HIS family but also Nina was basically grooming and taking advantage of an amnesiac man, which... I think is absolutely ridiculous.

I mean, Nina did have her own selfish reasons for doing what she did, but come on now. Personally I think Nina and Sonny were horribly mismatched because Nina is not cut out for the mob life and she's also a big blabbermouth that cannot keep her mouth shut to save her life. Also Sonny will always have some sort of connection to Carly no matter what so Nina was basically screwed no matter what she did.

Also I don't get why Nina was so obsessed with Carly to begin with; it's not like Carly is someone to even aspire to and I also find her extremely annoying and aggravating with the way everyone's constantly kissing up to her. Maybe she sees Carly as popular and beloved by the town and she wants that for herself? That's probably the only way that makes any sense to me, and Nina does seem to be the type of person to want so desperately to be loved and accepted by the towns folk. At any rate I'm glad the stupid Granny Wars are over and Nina is no longer preoccupied with Carly and she's mostly minding her own business now.

I get that to some degree she feels guilty that she didn't get to raise her herself and that she testified against her in court; however, Nelle was a psychopath that was a danger and a menace to society. And Nina needs to understand and accept that. (Also I hate that they made out Nelle to be a complete irredeemable psycho and they could have just kept Nelle as a regular schemer and she and Willow could have had a rivalry that would have driven stories for years, and since Nelle was basically being written to be a much younger version of Carly, then maybe Nina could be someone that would help humanize Nelle somewhat and make her not so one note.).

Woooow. Wasn’t expecting Sam to kick the bucket today but there it was. I’m conflicted as I wasn’t a Sam fan when she was part of the Carly/Sonny/Sam/Jason vortex and she did seem pretty bored by it herself but I enjoyed her Drew and the bits I’ve seen of the relationship with Dante. I think a Lulu/Dante/Sam triangle would’ve worked just fine without having to kill off Sam.

Happy to see Chad Duell was back for the Willow fallout. Did not expect him to immediately sleep with Sasha

. He’s now gone further to cheat than Willow ever did.

How many times did they hit Sam with the paddles? LOL Sorry, but those scenes were laughable.

Nothing Van Hansis did in those scenes resembled anything near "good acting." I mean, he was absolutely over-the-top awful. Every extra on Grey's Anatomy's 21 seasons did a better job.

She is around but is clearly not a priority atm vs. what Mulcahey was doing with the fuckbuddy/political relationship and mother-daughter triangle with Drew.

I'm not particularly fussed about it since he's gone, and I care little for what the show is currently doing since having squandered that storyline so they could write all three out tomorrow and I wouldn't really care.

I am definitely looking forward to the episode count because I really feel she's only popped up at most 5.

So much has been going on with people Nina was tied to and she really has been an afterthought to the point I have been shocked this month how little she has appeared.

    • I love this more than any theory I've seen yet
    • I wonder what Dana and Hayley's first scene will be like. Dana has fear/contempt for Bill, but I can imagine Hayley being curious to meet her.
    • Daphne was just FANTASTIC today. I know people wanted histronics and it may still come but she was pitch perfect today. As much as I like Maurice she's gonna need someone just as strong now and it's just not him
    • Today's episode was one of my favorites so far! TT's Anita standing up to Dana was perfect. I was surprised with how restrained Dani was, in some scenes, I forgot she was there. The ending "Amazing Grace" montage was brilliant. I like how Vernon's reason complements Anita's emotion. DD was terrific portraying her mixed sense of betrayal and humiliation. I liked her comment about how she condescended to Dani after her breakup with Bill, unaware that she was also married to a cheater. I am going to miss MJ as Ted and I don't agree with the criticisms of his acting. His conduct on social media is a different story. I agree that BC's Martin has come into his own. He and MM have also discovered some chemistry which allows them portray a believable couple. Eva is the most empathetic character for me. Seeing get locked out of the apartment was heartbreaking. I also liked that the writing for Kat has been much more nuanced than one might have expected just weeks ago. I liked the expression on Kat's face at the end when she was embracing Nicole. Kat has probably never seen her calm, poised mother so upset. CM's face portrayed a sense of discomfort now that the carer/child roles have been somewhat reversed. I believe now more than ever that Kat is Ted and Dana's child. Eva is Ted and Nicole's child. Dana switched them as insurance - if Bill came after her to take or harm Eva, Dana would reveal that Eva was actually a Dupree, giving her some protection. She would also be secure in the fact that her birth daughter Kat was ensconced in the privilege and security of the Dupree family. The way Dana raised Eva - "weaponizing" her instead of nurturing her as a loving mother - also aligns with this theory.
    • @Paul Raven - thanks for reviewing the content for accuracy.  You know, the nice thing about AI is that you can teach it things, so I am having it review the classic AMC Tumblr to increase its accuracy.
    • If you begin where they suggested (#6077), it's VERY easy to follow because it's right at the beginning of a new storyline.   Another story is winding down, but it's fairly easy to catch on. The central characters in both stories (the one that's ending & the one that's beginning) are members of the Madison family.  The Madisons have recently moved from Hollywood to Monticello.  The father (Owen Madison) is an ex-movie producer.  The mother (Nola Patterson Madison) is a washed-up, alcoholic actress who can no longer get a part in a film.  Owen has a daughter named Paige Madison, and Nola has a son named Brian Madison.  The Madison family left Hollywood primarily because the daughter (Paige) had gotten involved with a group of "renegade" young political activists who stole some guns to furnish to South American revolutionaries.  Paige Madison is being targeted for assassination by various members of the group (known as "the Tobias gang").  As a result, Paige has a full-time body guard, a former Monticello policeman who resigned from the police force because he accidentally shot & killed a 14-year-old boy who was armed with a cap pistol.  As the new plot (a movie called "Mansion of the Damned") takes shape,  the existing plot about Paige, the assassins, and the bodyguard comes to a conclusion.  The other characters on the show are all playing supporting roles to these storylines, and it'll be easy to figure out who they are and how they come into play.
    • Anita said to Leslie what I was always going to wonder. Where can a woman like her go from here? Given the circumstances and all.
