I wanted to say that earlier, but yes, I remember that casting news. I wondered if it was a Nate recast.

 

Since TW said she does not want to come back, she would have made a great Olivia recast. Just look at that great picture above.

I would prefer Stephanie E. Williams, however I don’t mind Amy’s return. Traci was her BFF so her return could be about Traci. I will wait it out to see what the return is about before I weigh in. 

This is completely random and as bad as the show is written now, I don't trust it to be anything special. Especially with a recast, I'm not sure the point in bringing her back. Definitely am curious how they'll do it though.

As for people saying she should've been Olivia...I think that role needs to stay in the hands of a dark skinned Black woman. I'm already side-eying this if I'm being completely honest. If they decide to bring back Olivia I would look at Amelia Marshall or Vanessa Williams.

Random. Gosh, I had a major crush on SEW. She was actually quite an accomplished dancer and performer. Last I'd heard, she'd moved back to the St. Louis area, where she's from. She was very involved in the community so I bet she retired from the industry.

Anyway, at least Y&R hired someone with great credentials. I'm sure it's only for a couple of episodes. It'll be interesting to see what brings Amy back.
