I need Vanessa to stop trolling me and actually come back to the show.  My heart can't take these silly teasers.

I know VM probably isn't cheap, but I would chip in 100 bucks and my lifelong devotion to get her back.  I can't imagine Eva La Rue is much cheaper.

I don't think she's obese. As of about a month ago, she was not pregnant & had put on a few pounds.

I was just looking at the Episode Counts for July. If you look at the first 12 people: Sonny, Jason, Carly, Michael, Jagger, Kristina, Maxie, Nina, Ava, Anna, Joss, Natalia, Willow & Blaze/Ali. #1 All are white people. #2 This is the ensemble. #3 It matches up with the stories they are telling.

It’s one of those little things that the show being more detailed could fix. You have Kristina Wagner on contract, and Felicia had a relationship with Stone, and more importantly with Jagger. They have barely used her since the new writers took over, she’s not in danger of going over her guarantee. She is a perfect example of a character that could have been someone he confided in and allowed the show to explore his point of view. She doesn’t have to agree with what he is doing, but she could have been an actual friend. Instead we wasted time flirting with Carly.

You have Kin Shriner there too and no scenes that I can remember between Jagger and Scott either.

Amanda Setton looks the same as she has for awhile.  She gained weight ages ago when she had one of her kids.  She doesn't look pregnant or obese to me just bigger than she did in her early career.

Jagger/Scotty never felt like a genuine relationship to me.  We don't know anything about it because it basically all happened off screen.  Using Felicia or Mac with Jagger would be a good idea although if you have to sit around with vets you shared a few dozen scenes with years ago to explain your motivations and grudges you probably are too irrelevant to be on the show to begin with.

Anyway, I have already said my thoughts on Jagger about a million times.  At this point there really isn't much the show can do to save the character.  He's got to go once this Jason story is over.

Is this the same soap that had a pregnant woman fall up stairs and lose a baby that way?  Or was that Another World?  The Esme fall from Windermere was more realistic.  This was worse than Carly Babes falling down the old Quartermaine staircase and blaming AJ for it.  LOL at the reactions to the fall yesterday.  Everyone reacted reasonably, except for this actor playing Gio.  He either has to go (he's certainly not a young lead like Nicholas Chavez that they're setting him up to be) or they need to lean into his goofy inexperience and make him just do straight up comedy.  A sad sack orphaned virtuoso musician is not compelling.  If they keep him, just make him a stupider, clumsier version of Spinelli for Trina.

Adding more humor back into GH would certainly help slightly mask the slow, low-stakes plots and boring conversations between characters.  It's a shame Scott wasn't there on Friday's episode, he's always good for a chuckle.

    • I’m hoping to start getting to know Vernon better this month. He’s really only been a bunch of noble and good tropes so far. I don’t want him to be taken down the way Ted has been, but it seems he was a long-running Senator and no matter what party you are, lasting longer than twenty years means you’re looking out for you (and not who you’re supposed to be looking out for) most of all. I want to get to know both Vernon and Anita beyond their Dupree posturing. Clifton Davis can sleepwalk handling the kind of material Christopher Bernau and David Lewis handled and I’d like to see more than just a saint.
    • I thought Emily/Hal was a really interesting pairing. And I think KMH played that version of Emily very well! It might not have been what people wanted from Emily, and the writing got pretty gross at the end, but I thought she embodied that character effectively.
    • Don't know if this exactly fits here, but it is connected: Does this abandoned building look familiar? It is one of those explorer videos - and the outside may look VERY familiar if one watched GH in the '70s and '80s!

    • So, I have been in the hospital all week. I am close to being up to date on my soaps. Now I have to go to the Infusion Ctr daily to get IV antibiotics, for 6 weeks. I am frankly exhausted. A hospital is no place to be when you're sick. Hooked up to machines that go beep beep beep all day & night long. Someone wakes you up every hour on the hour for something, either to stick you with needles or to take your gosh-awful blood pressure for the umpteenth time. So, you don't get any sleep. Now I have a central line, upper right chest. After they "installed" it, I said, I am now Borg. They just stared at me. Apparently scifi is not general knowledge. What happened? I have an infection inside my big toe right foot & it burned the skin on my foot. The burned skin is already better. It was like a bad sunburn. The infection inside the toe is the issue. Oral antibiotics won't even get its attention. So, IV antibiotics plus time.

As Salem bids farewell to John Black on Monday, the "Days" family and fans say a final goodbye to Drake Hogestyn.   From his time as a young man playing baseball in the minor leagues for the New York Yankees to his almost four-decade run as John Black, Drake always did his best. And, while becoming a soap opera icon, he spent almost 40 years at "Days" telling the best stories and taking the younger cast under his wing to make sure they would do their best as well. Thank you, Drake, for the legacy you have left for everyone at "Days." The impact you made on the cast, crew and fans will never be forgotten...and that's a fact.
    • I found an interview with Joseph Breen (Will Jeffries) where he mentions that Reva was put in a coma so Zimmer could go to Hollywood to do a pilot (OMG, if ONLY it had been picked up, LOL) and that Sonni and Josh and Will became a popular with the audience while she was out of commission.  If you want to read the whole thing: https://www.authorsden.com/visit/viewarticle.asp?id=47394 Breen was known for being very candid in interviews, I wish I could find more of them. I seem to recall he made a couple of snarky comments about Zimmer, implying she was not above acting like a diva. Sounded to me like he had a lot of respect for Forbes (who went on to have a very strong and varied career after GL).
    • I was so confused why Devon was prying into Nicks love life and then it clicked and I remembered they’re brother-in-laws. Shows how little I pay attention to this show anymore. I was like uh? Do these two even know each other this well?
    • The Bell soaps, B&B and Y&R: cannot watch. If I went by the last time I did I would have to give them both D- but I really don't think it counts when you're not a daily watcher.  DAYS: B+ (Now this is with the knowledge that for years I have given this show a D- because I've been a fan for too long to give it the F it deserved.) GH: A+ (With Korte driving this bus to me the show is so much better! IMO we just had the best NB in so many years I cannot count!) BTG: A solid (Things I love, a few I do not, nothing I hate, still find it in general remarkable.) As always, thanks for doing this thread. I count it. I always look for it & I always post.
    • Okay, I continue to maintain that what is so good about this particular reveal followed by umbrella storyline is that you can see & understand many different points of view where there is not one bad guy or one 100% right person.  About your stated opinion, that Lois & Gloria did the right thing, you know that this was technically an illegal adoption? For it to have been legal the father, if known, would have to have been informed & have signed off on terminating his own paternal rights. And, of course, it is clear how many people they lied to.  Personally I feel like Lois is going to take the biggest "public" blame with Lulu a close second in the blame category. I am looking forward to a tongue lashing I hope Brook Lynn gives to Gloria. I continue to be more than annoyed with Dante. First his attitude toward Gio with regards to Rocco & a drinking game & its results. Second his attitude toward Lulu. Meanwhile enjoying the show every day!
    • Lois and Gloria did the right thing I feel knowing it was Camila that raised Gio has BL feeling some jealousy No one is saying that Camila was a bad mother to Gio I believe it will be Gio saying that Camila was great to him, thanking Lois and Gloria to get BL to see truth
