OK, now I'm confused about where's Jack living?!?

He seemed to be visiting from Boston, and then he left to return to Jennifer.  But, today, he comes sauntering into the Horton living room to chat with Chad.  So, where's he been?

Does he stay at the Devereaux Estate (surely that's been sold off over the years)?  Is he hiding out with Tate and Holly?  Is he renting a room at the Pub?

And, did anyone notice how dumb Alex was yesterday?  He was trying to be Cool-Stepdad to Tate about fake IDs, and then he inadvertently rats him out to Theresa by saying he saw Tate in the park.  Quel douche.

The Kerry scene went from 0-100 in seven seconds.  And why does Justin have more hair when he appears in Port Charles?

The lighting has a lot to do with it. DAYS' lighting is harsh and overhead while GH's is softer, so there's more reflection on his scalp.

The other thing is the makeup/hair team. The GH makeup team keeps most of the cast's skin very matte, while I think on DAYS the actors do a lot themselves, and it's likely the GH team adds powder to Wally's scalp to make it appear thicker and conceal any scalp.

Always Love me some Leo! Greg was great in today’s show. The actor who plays Kerry: bless his heart. Charity Rhamer awful. Beyond bad. He’s a good looking guy but it was too much for him to remember lines, the directors blocking and taking his shirt off all at once. Cringe.

His final scene with Julie was beautiful. That was definitely one of the few good (but sad) parts of today. And judging by the way that their scene, and the Christmas episode too, were written, I really think Bill, Susan, everyone at Days, etc. knew that Bill was nearing the end of his life. As sad as that is, I’m also glad that they were all able to put that extra effort in and make the scene as good as it was.

The rest of the episode was… ehhhh

It’s always good to see Marlena, but the way that she’s being used is kinda ridiculous.

And yeah, still no sympathy for Leo.

If Uncle wanted people to like him, then maybe he shouldn’t have written him as the worst person ever and as the gay equivalent to Harvey Weinstein.

Actually, the only thing his whining to Marlena did is made me remember how wasted Dimitri/Peter Porte was on Days.

Susan said Bill was completely blind at this point, so yes, I think everyone knew his time was growing short. The scene was very sweet and I'm glad they got to end on such a graceful note.

I agree with you on the rest of the episode. I don't care about Leo's transformation, Abigail's coffin or Connie's plan. I was intrigued by Bobby/Everett at one point, and I still like Blake Berris' performance, but the story is so convoluted at this point it makes no sense.

Today's episode revealed Connie wants to kill Rafe because she thinks that will help Everett/Bobby get Jada back and this plan is Dumb because Jada would be first person to figure out what Connie is up to and at this moment I'm ready for Blake Berris character to be off the show now his character serves no purpose at all

Ron must have seen on gh what they did years ago when Franco was almost killed and Elizabeth was suspicious about who could have done it because that is the only explanation I give for this Connie killing plot to kill Rafe just so Everett/Bobby can get Jada back

I have seen Marlena do a lot of crazy things.  I think watching RuPaul's drag race with Leo was an actual character low point for her today.

The rest of the episode was fine.  Doug and Julie were nice.

    • Haha, love to hear it, and thank you! Yeah, I just write down thoughts/notes as I'm watching in this viewing journal I'm keeping.  So, you get my raw, honest thoughts in the moment without me having to go back and remember or curate anything.

Watros is great, and I've liked her from the beginning, so I'm excited to see her evolve and shine even more as Annie continues to descend. I'll keep an eye out for that scene.  I have to say, Rick cracks me up, there are times when he makes jokes and you can tell the actor is having fun with it and cracking himself up. He's endearing. Let me suffer!    So funny how big Josh's hair is in the 80s. Sign of the times, I guess.   I can't wait to finally see the Sonni storyline and watch a younger Michelle Forbes shine. It's on my list, I will go back in time eventually and do this
    • This was late 1993, right before Roger is shot.
    • Haha I guess so, and in this recent case, Alan absolutely deserved it (many times over, honestly).
    • It's hard to remember, as Holly and Blake always seemed to be on the outs over something.
    • Ohhh yes, these were exciting!  What year was this?  Another added bonus, watching Tangie lurk around like a thief with that black beanie.

I'm happy to hear I'm not alone in my thoughts over Gilly's exit and Vivian's first and likely only contract storyline. It was just a shame. On one hand, I'm glad they decided to finally write for this family (as Gilly was sorely underused in 1995), but then on the other... that was what they decided? Sure, it was a bit soapy, but oh so gross. They could have come up with something better.
    • Women slapping guys is a little more common.  I grew up with CBS, so it doesn't seem strange to me. If you got a slap, you usually really deserved it.
    • That could be it too. I just remember a slap at some point. That would have been around when she was made at Holly for "ruining" her one-sided relationship with Alan Michael. I don't know if you will be getting to 2000 (if you do - buckle up!) but there's a character who was intended to be Stacy.
    • Agree with all of this. They use stuff like the redecoration and the party as major events and nothing comes of it. Kyle/Claire is of no interest to me because Kyle has already been deeply in love with Lola and summer so his devotion to Claire is more of the same. And Claire is a character that came from a nonsense rewrite and now is presented as Little Miss Innocent, her dark past swept away. That charm bracelet of Nikki's must weigh a ton. The list of grandchildren seemed endless. The thing is, most of them are offscreen and ignored. Victoria seems like a neglectful parent. Was Dylan mentioned? Another dumb rewrite character. Not only is the show hampered by so many vet charcters, TPTB don't seem interested in venturing into new areas with them. Cole was brought by but there hasn't been any dramatic story that could impact on Victoria? What had he been doing all those years? So many characters w/o stories talking about businesses we never see.
    • I thought it was Sherry Stringfield, but maybe it was before Blake slept with Ross.
    • Thank you for the great background and summary - very helpful!  Yes, very odd they never brought her back, but at least J mentioned her, so not truly forgotten. Ah interesting, I guess I never realized that CBS was a bit more conservative/old-fashioned in a way, at least pre-2000 or so. It's funny, I wrote that about slapping, and then a few episodes later, Vivian storms into the Spaulding mansion and slaps Alan. It's like I spoke it into existence.
