Cultured, darling... we're Cultured. I can reference Mozart too - and the first person that suggests I'm 500 years old...

Happy Belated Birthday Lady Ashton!!!

Thanks for posting all those pics hooked, can I just say how angry it makes me that all they are doing to celebrate the 45th anniversary of the longest running west coast soap is a simple party and pictures!?!?! How cheep can they get, even the cake is lackluster. I've seen better and more extravagant birthday cakes than their pathetic 45. I mean any first year baking student can make a giant 45 and call it a cake. Sorry I'm just bitter.

*Just a joke. I'm "seasoned" too ya know. Does salty count as seasoned? Ok, I'm just bitter. Forgive me.

*Loving the pics! Hating that TG & JE aren't together in them.

*Mailed my letters & picked up some postcards on my way home.

JFP is not the only one that looks evil. ;) JE looks like she could be playing an evil nurse or something.

And to whoever said those scrubs are HUGE (remos?) on her, ditto!!! My guess as to why she's wearing them is to be comfy?! Who knows...LOL at the slippers.

Also, I agree that LC looks great in that picture. FABULOSA! Love her hair. Her outfit. She's so "huggable" looking... Hey, remember that dream when I got to hug her? Haha.

From the scrap heap of SD IL

Week of 3/24:

Monica has a confession for Jason. Claudia and Johnny join forces to get what they want.

Ric gives into Trevor's demands to protect Marianna.

Tracy gets the wrong idea about Luke's meeting with Claudia.

Lulu becomes Carly's spy.

Kate vents to Jax.

Anyone up for an earlyish chat tonight? around 8pm central in ab out 15 minutes? Remos? Stace? Funny? Whoever else is lurking about?

Personally I think LC has a very distorted image of herself. This is her REAL hair,..and its lovely.

She feels her hair is thing and pin straight and self admittedly employes extentions, and 1/2 wigs. SOOOO not needed, and assuming that is an all encompassing feel, could explain the over done plastic surgery.

Thank the GODS above, Jane is Jane, and security in ones looks speaks VOLUMES beyond the knife.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TOMORROW TO ADRIAN ELLIOT<>>>>>24 and fabulous

She's probably even more frustrated than we are, Timeless. According to someone on soapdish, "Jane Elliot is loving her story with Luke but would like more." SD isn't the most reliable source on the planet, but this sounds legitimate if only because I can't imagine Jane not feeling frustrated with scraps of airtime and story.

Let's hope the ratings stay in the basement, forcing someone at this rat network to make changes.

I would love to concur, but really who knows. These are not fish bowl specticals. Every, (few as they are) interview if shared IN the moment, reflect some of Jane the actress's mood, yet give a peep hole of information(and when was the SD interview, pre- or post op on Tony, which is a altogether AnOTHER subject,..Jane can stand her own even without the love of Lunacy,..blah blah)

Bottom line, I do not believe JE is a betwixt woman on any scope. I feel deeply, that her privacy is fit tight with more then a modicum of humility. If you listen to her very few interview she is content to run with the baton that is handed to her. She does not need to beg for scraps, nor be beholdent to TG.

THIS is a woman of substance, character, and talent that is beyond daytime.

Remember kids, as much as I love Tracy, the character is not the actress, and no matter how it fetches us, I am sure no one can push or pull Jane Elliot where she doesnt want to be. Love the craft or not, if she FELT short changed, like we do, she could live comfortably directing, or producing.

Jane isnt going to do a thing that makes her unhappy or frustrated. If you think,..(any of us) different? , We dont "get" what makes Jane exceptional at all, and we are creating a Soap, in place of a Soap.

P.S. You dont take a decade off to raise your children if you NEED the work, or are chomping at the bit for scraps.

Bottom line all, give Jane more credit, and the writers less. Tony should be honored he is tied to HER, not the other way around.

    • Yeah. I wasn't feeling it either. If it was meant to be a chem test, it didn't work. I don't think so. Because I think Neil and Liz moved into that house after Stefano "died", and Neil lived there until he went to go see his patients and never came back

    • Canada aired a repeat today Tues. Nov. 18. So after being a day ahead for the past week, they will now be back in sync with U.S.
    • I was really starting to enjoy it, but after Anspach, Shelton and Keane left, it got a bit blah to watch. Jane Russell was great as Rose, Buddy Ebsen as Toat was interesting as well.  If a second season were in the cards, I would have signed  Karen Carlson on to a contract and cast a couple more women as regulars. The cowboy aspect could continue. Sam Elliott, as always, was fantastic,  The camaraderie between Roy and Quisto was really good as well. Cybill... she was sex on a stick and unapologetic.   Poor Robin Wright barely lasted five minutes, though, before being raped and murdered.
    • I love it that we've gone from daylight to dark -- Luna's even returned to work -- but Steffy is still sitting next to shirtless Finn on the sofa.

    • Is the current DiMera mansion the same mansion Stefano moved into around 1983?  I remember that house was out near a lake, and not far from Doug Williams' night club.  In fact, there was a tunnel connecting Doug's Place to the DiMera mansion.  If it supposed to be the same house, I'm fairly sure it is not the same set.  But I'm aware sometimes soap opera sets change without any explanation
    • Amazing work @slick jones I remember watching and enjoying Yellow Rose but losing interest once they went to self contained episodes, Interestingly that's the opposite of what Dallas, KL and FC did. So maybe YR should have been more episodic at first and then go to a fully fledged serial. But really the timeslot was the problem -Sat @10 was not the spot for a serial. And Rounders turned out to be a poor lead in. Maybe 9-11 Tues following A Team would have helped.
    • LOL!!! He looks like he is reacting as if Luna just passed bad gas or something.
    • Doug Marland came on board shortly before Gloria Monty, I believe. Jackie Smith was in charge of ABC daytime at that point. All of the characters in place were not his creations. Alan was created by Irving and Tex Ellman who wrote the hurricane story a few months before and brought in Alan, Scotty, David Hamilton, Dorrie and Lisa/Lana. His first character was  Bobbie in Jan 78. Apart from wrapping up the Lan/Lisa story he pretty much kept all the stories going just adding new elements.
    • She is 29... she's inching closer, and we know how important age is on soaps.

    • When I saw that look on Will's face, I thought, "Yeah, there's no one on set giving direction to Crew Morrow. There's no one giving notes." His dad Josh was green when he started, but not this green.
