I think Jason knows who "Jagger" is but just never made the connection that "Agent John Cates" could be "Jagger" and would have no reason to look into it. And to be fair, even if Jason has seen a picture of Jagger, he looks totally different now, lol.

I really don’t care as Wagger will not last on this show, unless he unexpectedly catches on somehow. In the end, we’ll still be wondering why this had to be Jagger and not one of the random law enforcement antagonists Jason and Sonny always encounter (which he is, just with the John Cates name tacked on for no apparent reason).

Well if the cast cuts rumor turns out to be true...that can't be too surprising given it IS a big cast and SB does have to get paid. lol.

 

Also another reason now while EK and PM are taking their time with those cuts...seeing who they feel fits or who might have potential. And of course, getting to the dead weight. 

You could blame the fact that Jason didn't recognize Jagger on (bad continuity and) his brain damage, but if you ask me, Jason wasn't exactly a Rhodes scholar even before the Accident That Changed Everything.

I mean, Jason was in med school.  I don't think he was stupid.  I just think brain damaged Jason was supposed to be intuitive and smart in different ways.  I could be totally wrong, but I always though brain damaged Jason was much smarter than Sonny.

I've only seen part of today's but I will say I thought the sex scene was both hot and pretty charged up dialogue-wise. I haven't seen a GH scene like that in a hot minute, this show has been so tame and sexless for so long. It helps that CW and CM both come from one of the last generations of soap actors who knew how to fúck onscreen. When you've got Twitter stans wailing and rending their garments over 'porn dialogue' it's a good day for me.

Yes but that is more about Sonny than about Jason! At least I do not think that Sonny is now or ever has been brilliant. Jason thinks differently but he does think & he does reach correct conclusions. And he is better than other people are if compartmentalization is useful.

So the way I always thought about Sonny was that he was intelligent, but not well educated.  He just had street smarts and charisma (back in the day, not currently lol)

Jason was very smart and the brain damage didn't change it, but like you said, his brain just worked differently after.  I side eye him not even checking the last name Cates out, but again it's a minor detail.

Most of the folks gnashing their teeth on TwiXt today are Liz &/or Sam fans who are furious that Jason is not with their chosen one. Sure, there are some SoNa fans but they are not numerous nor are they LOUD.

Weirdly, I can see Michael and Willow having fans.  They are a very white bread, Midwest,  mildly attractive, bland coupling.  It is a couple I can see attracting a certain type of fanbase.

It is a damn shame Leslie Charleson is out of commission because her presence and POV under this regime would elevate things even moreso.

During the Willow/Michael scenes all I could think about is the fun fan-wanking that happened here about her being a secret villain. Her mentioning specifically that it's still all Michael's money and not hers ... if she somehow finagles her way into those millions legally, maybe villainWillow could still be a thing.
