It's hilarious people listing these A-list actors, and then Daphnée is edited in throwing [slight] shade.

That was great, and I love the teasing of Tamara's previous World Turns cast members arriving. Mama knows what she's doing.

In today's special clip preview, was Karla Mosley giving anyone else Vicky Wyndham vibes? Maybe it's just because of the eyes, but I saw a resemblance in some of the way that Mosley speaks as well.

So, looks like CHCH WILL be the only Canadian network carrying Beyond the Gates as previously discussed. I just heard back from my contact at CBS Studios just now, but they unfortunately didn't communicate things correctly and made it seem like there was a PR going out this week, when in fact it was an announcement on the CHCH morning show (they have one?)

I hate miscommunication...

This. I would rather have this than these ridiculous reality and Instagram folks.

THIS should've been the theme. HANDS DOWN for so many reasons.

I had to watch the opening several dozen times before it grew on me. I HATED it at first. The visuals are fine, but I was expecting something more upbeat like B&B or even GH (not saying those openings are good, just upbeat). But, after listening to it numerous times, I'm actually enjoying it.

Yeah, the theme really grew on me as well. Would I weep if they changed it? No.

The opening itself is absolutely head and shoulders above anything ATWT or GL did in their last 5 (or in GL's case, about 10) years, not that I was a big fan of virtually any of ATWT's openings after 2005 or so. And much better than anything GH has done since FV arrived.

CHCH is available in parts of Ontario. It's available in other parts of Canada via some cable/satellite providers.

I'm in the USA and I can watch the CHCH live feed on their website without a VPN.

They didn't air the "welcome to the neighborhood" segments this week,
but they are starting with regular BTG on Feb. 24

    • GET THAT HEFFA, NOSY NURSE!!!   I'm sorry to see Smitty and June coming to a middle ground. It seem like that tension would be between them for at least one more story arc. A writing change?   I'm sorry but I love the teen unit of Ty, Samantha, and Jessica (and Rocco, Danny, Charlotte over on GH which is what today is reminding me of). I'm a sucker for soap teens. lol.
    • I really hope Laura doesn’t get reelected. She doesn’t deserve it. Imagine her campaign staff, freaking out at the Metro Court as election results come in while she’s hanging out with Sonny.
    • Thanks for that. It was great to see her in an interview. She's very likable. Although it was somewhat confusing. What new soap is she talking about going on audition for in 1973. Was it The Young and the Restless? Is it just me or did they never even say the name of this soap opera? Days wasn't new in 1973 and there was no "Jack" with three daughters on The Young and the Restless. What soap are they talking about? The editing around that part was weird and choppy. I felt like there was a chunk missing or something. And I'm not sure why she was saying she got colorectal cancer from HPV and said it's because she never got the HPV vaccine but then said she's never had anal sex. I'm not a doctor but that didn't seem to make any medical sense. I don't know. Maybe I'm tired. It just seemed like some of this interview didn't make sense.
    • If it helps any, the last script cover from the Elman papers that I have is from episode #3,736 airdate November 15, 1977. Writers are the Hollands with Frank Salisbury.
    • B&B really does look incredible. The lighting and the polished sets have made a significant difference how visually appealing the show is now.
    • I found the problem with the Labine era was that the show lost some humour when the Labines came on and it could be dull. They also didn't seem to understand some of the characters. As others have said, it looks fantastic in comparison to the next regime but I just remember boredom being the primary response.
    • Something I didn't realize: Frank Ashmore, who played Monica's investigator Corrigan in 1981, was also Victor, the third guy in the cockpit, in Airplane!
    • Thanks, maybe I will skim through those episodes.  I have previously binged late 1985 through early 1987; April-June, August 1992 (I skipped Carlo Hesser murder trial), Jan-March 1995 and I began watching in 2006. I just struggle to stay consistent with routines especially binging routines haha
    • I could've sworn we went over the Bobbie thing a while ago, and saw her introduced to Rick and Lesley as "Nurse Barbara" in very late '77? Or was that early '78? I know the clip is online. Jackie always credited Marland with creating her IIRC.
    • Thanks.  Loon Lake - very on the nose. With that "dad" outfit Bo looks even more like Cassie's father...
