I have such high expectations for BTG and I don't think I'm going to be disappointed. I trust MVJ. I have followed her career since Generations and I believe in the team assembled to bring us the best show possible.

I, too, would love the opening scene to be with "Martin & Smitty". Both actors are extremely handsome and charismatic.

Hopefully, we will get the premiere date soon, with some promo teasers.

CBS unveils its mid-season lineup this week, so that should hopefully hold a premiere timeline. As for promo teasers, I still think it's too soon since they only have one week taped.

It is a shame that the Winter Television Critics Association meeting was cancelled, because a panel would've provided some great insights.

Lol. Wonderful, and we shall see. I wonder how far they are going to allow this couple to go. I do like that they will already be established. No coming out of the closet story for either of them. Also, whenever we get to the point of one of them cheating on the other, and we will because it's a soap, don't have them do it with a woman, and then she gets pregnant on top of that. I always hated how shows would throw supposedly gay characters into that mix.

I wonder if they'll film any teasers specifically for promos. Similar to what Passions did. I'd like a combination of both, but of course will take what I can get.

I have a feeling, if anything, they'll use the ribbon cutting and table read footage as a teaser, with the title card provided to us, via Paramount Global.

These comments from people more or less "demanding" in some way or another that people don't post about the white characters make me uncomfortable.
First of all, there are like two or three actors on the show. And things like "don't start posting photos of the White Guy" sound really racist to me.
I don't see the reason to bring this type of toxic and hateful energy in a thread where everyone is so happy about the new soap.

There's nothing wrong with talking about a white character. But openly hyperfocusing on the one main white guy in the cast on a Black-centric show would be what is inappropriate, racist and uncomfortable. Happy to help!
