Chandler has smirked his way through snitch of his DAYS career that I have zero interest in seeing him on anything else.

Amen to that. Others have put this Chandler stuff in its place, but I'm glad to see someone else mentioning that the guy is not a serious actor. His smirking and grinning ruined so many scenes over so many years that I lost count.

Yes, he's good looking and has great pecs. So do about 50,000 other actors looking for work -- and they can act without smirking.

I'm really hoping we have a varying body-type across the female and male actors on this soap. THAT would be a real, scope-changing visual.

Yes God!

Are y'all trolling or just completely out of touch? Here we have a spanking new soap on the precipice of untapped ground, aiming to illuminate and celebrate the long neglected, underappreciated, unrepresented black audience and black talent that the nation has to offer, and we're championing Chandler? Read the room. When they need a white boy, there's no shortage of options.

LMAOOO

Thank you!

I have to say, of all the white actors to champion for this show, Chandler seems like an odd one. Of course there will be white actors on the show and I hope at least one will be a name, but when we finally have the chance at real diversity, that is where my main focus is in terms of who I want to see. Chandler could easily get hired on one of the other soaps. These Black and Brown actors can't, so that's who I'm going to fight for.

EXACTLY! It's not the crème of the crop here, either, despite what one person specifically believes.

This.

Also, isn't DAYS bringing Chandler back anyway? If not don't care.

I wanna hear that Redaric Williams, Angell Conwell, Tequan Richmond, Loren Lott, and countless other Black actors finally get their shine in daytime. Those are the casting coups I wanna hear about.

I want new names, honestly.

That's going to happen regardless b/c I doubt the budget will be big enough to support all those established names; however, I want a good cast of stable actors to cushion the newer, greener actors.

I'd wager Anita's husband, "Patrick," will be a name. Having the Jackson family heads and their children being "names" is likely the pin-point M.O. they're going for. That's what I'm guessing, any way, with the [others] being a mixture of both noted, established daytime veterans and new blood.

I have a strong feeling Obba Babatunde will be cast.

I'd like to see Lamman Rucker or Peter Parros back onscreen as patriarchs if possible.

And of course, I am always holding out hope for Vicki Rowell and Amelia Marshall (and AM stays is GA if I am not mistaken).

Parros or Rucker would be amazing! Rucker seems to be sticking to the Baltimore and Chicago areas, so that might be... concerning. But Parros must've lived in Atlanta, as The Haves and Have Nots filmed in Atlanta at Tyler Perry Studios up until 2020–2021.

Patrick should definitely be the next character we hear about in terms of casting.

It's secondary to everything else, but I hope there is a good theme song and well designed opening sequence.

Really! Let's add Davetta Sherwood, Annie Ilonzeh, Vanessa Williams, Golden Brooks, and countless others to the list.

Something that's a combination of jazzy and bluesy is what I would spring for in terms of theme song. Or maybe even use an actual song from the 60s or 70s for the opening.
