So far, Anita and Patrick have daughters but where's Patrick Jr? There's gotta be at least one rat bastard smart alec son somewhere. Maybe they introduce him later?

For many years, As The World Turns had a strong connection to Chicago. Many of the characters frequented Chicago on business and commerce. From what I remember (someone can correct me if I’m wrong) Tamara Tunie’s character Jessica Griffin, although the character was born and raised in the Bronx was living and working in Chicago when Tom Hughes recruited her to move to Oakdale to join his law firm.

Why would the name "Jackson" be problematic for this show's core family?  Am I missing something?

I would hope that even without Jesus's help, or Soap Jesus's help, either one of 'em, that with just a smidge of self-control, we could avoid, evade, misplace, or otherwise do away with our non-favorite misogyny-writing, in joke referencing, possibly retired to a beach, former Llanview, Port Charles & Salem resident writer, now & forever more.

This. I was pretty cool with a few things remaining as they were. This was one of them. The Jacksons sounded just fine for this show's core family. I was also fully prepared to embrace the name of Betty as well. I hope they keep the names of Patrick, Joseph, and Marcus at least.

They just announced three actors who don't live in Atlanta. Atlanta is now a major hub for actors. I don't think anybody will be turning it down for that reason. If they'll relocate to more expensive LA or NY, why wouldn't they relocate to Atlanta? Especially as hard as it is to get a job right now. Also, for Black actors in particular, I just don't see them making the location an issue. They have less opportunities and the majority of what they do have is in Atlanta right now.

If anything, Y&R fans need to be concerned about him being out of work. IMO, at least.

    • Welcome back, Shawn Douglas! It's been a while. It really is too bad that the writers don't really have an interest in the character because there are still a lot of ways that he can be used effectively on the canvas. He should have been a part of the 60th anniversary celebrations as well. If anything, just to represent Bo and Hope. And I'd much rather see Jada paired with him than possibly with Theo. But I enjoyed him getting caught up with Belle, and comforting her. I'm sure they'll find their way back to each other at some point but I do like them as divorced friends. I just hope we see it play out onscreen. Belle being a dick about Sami again was unnecessary though. And we finally saw Liam again!  I'm curious to see how this storyline is going to play out, and who's going to be weaved into it. He and Abe do work well together too. And we learned that he has a kid. Hopefully, we'll learn more about his character in the future. But I'm not really sure about Johnny and Chanel suddenly having problems with raising Trey. They've wanted a baby for so long, so I don't understand why this is even an issue. They should know by now what it's like to raise a baby. But I did enjoy Johnny's scenes with EJ, and that Johnny still hasn't refused to forgive him. This storyline was/is very clunky, but having the two of them be at odds is the right decision. There's so much story potential that can be drawn from that. As for Chad... there was no time for us to see his reunion with Will, but there's time for us to see him talking BS with Leo? I don't get it. And I don't get all this random dating app stuff either. Leo and Javi were boring af too. If we're forced to endure them, can they at least have some real conflict? The two of them losing the baby was the perfect opportunity for it.

    • I enjoy BF better on Days than on YR.   Chad is greater than Cane, in my opinion.
    • Ick! Seeing MS and BF making out as the characters onscreen was just ewwww.

    • That was the best part of Tuesday's episode.  Martin and Smitty and their family are boring.
    • Crew Morrow's acting on Tuesday's episode was just dreadful. The weird faces he was making were just awful
    • Creatively, he probably should have stayed with The Doctors, where he stood out as an antihero lead. Not sure what happened with GH. He didn't have the same impact. Was it bad writing, not clicking with co-stars? Didn't they gave him a boat load of money to join GH in 1976? Was Mark Dante just a toned-down version of Nick Bellini? Were they basically the same character?
