Members BetterForgotten
Possibly - MVJ and Jeresa follow each other on Instagram, so they seem at least friendly. Yes, they both worked at B&B, but there’s usually no reason for a scriptwriter and costume designer to interact unless they’ve build a relationship. Members Jonathan
I'm intrigued by this insight. Please share more. What kind of sandwiches were they? Did Julie use her own Costco card or borrow a friend's? Please register in order to view this content

Members Jonathan
I'm surprised to see Julie Hanan Carruthers involved in this project, given that she's been out of the industry for over a decade and has been working in real estate. While I understand the value of working with trusted colleagues from the past, I believe this is also an opportunity to bring in fresh talent. It's a chance to take a bold step, much like Mickey Dwyer Dobbin did when she took a chance on Wendy Riche.
Members Liberty City
While I would agree, the Wendy Riche situation was a different one. This isn't a new name coming in to take-over from an executive producer, such as Gloria Monty, whose tenure was not turning out as TPTB had hoped. This is a brand-new venture, which has a lot riding on its success. This is the first brand-new soap opera since Passions in 1999. This is a major deal. You need names, such as Bob Guza & Julie Hanan Carruthers, who are able to steer the ship as individuals with backgrounds in daytime, along with Sheila Ducksworth, Leon Russell, Derrick Johnson & Kimberly Doebereiner. You do. And it's very clear Michele Val Jean trusts them both and, I trust her, so...
Members te.
Plus, I'd be willing to bet that at least a couple of these people will eventually step back once the show is properly launched and running smoothly. But obviously, being able to set up proper production schedules and control the budget will be important in making this show work and new people stepping into a show without any formula set would likely get out of control quickly.

Members Maxim
“Elizabeth” is described as a Black female in her mid-30s. Described as gorgeous, intelligent, charming and witty, Elizabeth also holds an air of mystery about her. Elizabeth landed a job as a paralegal and began a love affair with Joseph, who was married at the time to Sara—the woman who suggested her husband hire Elizabeth! I LOVE THIS. Elizabeth is the Brooke of the show! LOVE IT. “Diane” has two faces. The one that she shows to the world and one that is reserved for private moments. And beware... the psycho is called Diane. LOVE IT.
Members detroitpiston
All of that sounds great and I love that they have characters living outside of the gates with high ambitions.
Members BetterForgotten
Given the way the other soaps write for LGBTQIA+ characters and relationships, the Marcus character should be interesting to see how this show represents and writers for him. I hope the casting people are bringing their A game here - soaps need both talented AND charismatic actors to elevate the material. That’s incredibly important for a new soap.
Members BoldRestless
It sounds like classic soap at heart.

Members BetterForgotten
I was thinking she sounded similar to Y&R’s Jill, but Brooke also works.
