Nope. True to their announced word, we will see him first on Monday. But, clearly this week the stage has been set in at least a couple of ways. Even if it were going to be a surprise return I think we'd be scratching our heads, thinking about some things seeming to be 'Jasonized.

Nope, no Morgan. I mean, someday there could be. Not at this particular time. And, please I do hope that some people leave before too many arrive!!!

However, it was so deliriously funny when Morgan was first mentioned, because of the Olivia Jerome death, on Twitter people outdid themselves with who would now be playing Morgan. The best one was Roger Howarth! There were tons more.

I really don't care about Morgan one way or the other, but I did notice he was mentioned a few times.

I know there have been a lot of Jason mentions, but I haven't found it as awkward as some big name returns where their entire life is exposited by some character a day or so before they come back

Me either, about Morgan. I believe Dan & Chris were responsible for all the Morgan mentions. And speaking of them, as of today I believe we're at the point where I say, Good riddance! I've been very critical of so many things about their writing for such a long time & now that Frank FINALLY saw that a change had to happen I even think they probably never should have been promoted from within. GH would have been better off with a much more substation HW. LOL! substantial, not substation.

And, about Jason, it hasn't been obnoxious at all, I don't think. Just some pretty good writing, even delicate. Not really foreshadowing but a kind of code to the fans.

It's been said on this site over and over again that Morgan will never be back. I'm fine with that and I agree. We've moved on from that for years. They can mention him (as well as Karen, Stone, recent other mentions), but that never means the character is on their way back.

Except for Jason. This time we know Jason is coming back , so it's not random posting anymore. They are bringing in all of Jason's supporting cast (Sam, Jake. Danny and his substance use problems, etc.) Sonny needing someone to trust. I'm sure that Dex will be Jason's son, so he can come back to Port Chuck and not have to worry anymore.

But it is prevalent on many other popular soap websites to say that Morgan will be coming back. It's ridiculous how often it's mentioned.  If only I could tell them all how I feel about that. If only someone would go tell them to stop with the Morgan pipe dream of coming back. Then again, my opinions are what got me in trouble this last time on other sites. LOL

I find it highly unlikely Dex is Jason's son lol. That sounds like out of control spec.

I have never heard anyone opine that Morgan will never be back. I do think he's not coming back any time soon and people always over-assume that he's back anyday because his death was so anticlimactic. People jump to it constantly and there's no real sign of that.

Well, you know they always say that as soon as any person not currently present, but from the past, is mentioned, Bingo! Soap fans immediately think that means they're going to be brought back!! And, apparently, it is true! I confess that I find it more or less amusing. Probably you should not tell them off, but instead let them prattle on & just move right on past their "Morgan Musings" & if you can't laugh about it, then avert your eyes or say a rosary or try to recall obscure baseball stats.

@Beachstorm I forgot one thing. I have long thought that Keisha might've been pregnant with JasonQ's child. is there any way you can convince yourself that Sexy Dexy is biracial? If not, I can't come up with any "what if" to make him Jason's son. Just trying to help ...

That makes more sense to me, but we haven't seen any signs that Dex is autistic at all.  Jagger mentioned his son was living on his own and doing well or something when he was talking to Olivia and Leo.  So far it doesn't really add up, but it's more believable than Dex being Jason's son.  Dex is probably just Dex and soon to be forgotten.

ETA-do you mean Dex is another Jagger kid that's not Stone?  Because I guess that's plausible.

    • I 100% agree but I think this is due to how the show is structured. It's a one family show which means there are no people in her age range that could be used as friends or contemporaries of her. The show definitely needs a second main family. I am glad someone finally said this. Especially now that the cast is gelling in their roles, he stands out like a sore thumb. No energy, no chemistry with anybody. He is just there.  I thought that was odd as well! The previous scene would've worked better as a tag for the credits.
    • That's the one and only Carrie Nye (Mrs. Dick Cavett) as Susan Piper, a deadly realtor. I don't want to spoil a lot if you ever want to see those episodes. She returns as another character in 2003. I think Grant has aged well and he always did a good job at being ripped without going too far, but he was never entirely my cup of tea either. I did think John Bolger was hot.
    • Totally agree. KKL looks great! It makes the Widge groveling so bizarre. Brooke needs to leave FC and with $B's/Liam's funding launch a rival fashion house with Hope, Rick, Katie and a secret designer. The best scenario is that Rick has been absent because he's been with very much alive C2, who is revealed on the runway as the secret designer. It'll never happen because B&B is comfortable just focusing on FC and the Forresters Marones v. Logans. But it'd been so much more interesting if the Spencers/Logans united.

    • Haha that scarf thing did go on a bit too long, very odd. And what a young Rick!  I know this is an unpopular opinion, but I just never got the physical appeal of Grant Aleksander, but he's definitely a great actor. Who is the older lady around the 8:30 mark, and also ends the episode, alone and in pain? She seems like a really interesting character. I love the smoky voice and sultry, snaky vibe she seems to have.
    • I can't remember exactly but I think she lives in or is part of the cottage story with Carrie. Carrie poisons her in this episode.  I forgot Teresa was on the show. (I see that AI is insisting she wasn't - well they're wrong) Poor Maeve. I can how even she had her limits.
    • It pisses me off that the other Duprees are making this incident all about them as well. They are playing a family of victims, acting as if Ted cheated on all of them. They should be supportive, but not like this. I have a family that makes anything that happens to me personally all about them, and seeing the same thing on TV is rage-inducing.
    • There are the makings of good Emmy reels in these past couple of episodes, but the industry is still going to favor even the most mediocre stories and performances on the older soaps. And with the pressure from the government over race I can see the academy shutting out Beyond The Gates to avoid criticism from the administration and the far right media.
    • oh, definitely! It's too bad she hit the start of a rough transition period for the show. She shines, but she's stuck with bad story and some (if not exactly bad) not great co-stars.  Uh, who did Maureen O'Sullivan play? (Sigh--and only if I'd understood exactly who and how wonderful Teresa Wright was in '86) God, the summer of '84 was literally one event after another. Kim's outfit alone must've been worth a small fortune. And poor Maeve. She looks so uncomfortable. Rebecca Hollen told a story on Locher Room where Maeve dropped the f-bomb during the shooting of it. For some reason, she wasn't being listened to, and had just had enough. As a producer, I would've been holding my breath as my pregnant actress kept walking around strange and undoubtably uneven sets in that long skirt.
