I like Eva but Ana would be awesome. I kinda wished she had been cast as Inez Salinger on OLTL in 2010 instead of Jessica Letica

Remember when she was cast on Y&R as the Rosales mom and there was spec she would stay on and hook up with Jack etc but she came and went in a flash.

For example in 1986-87 Actor Jeffery Byron played both Richard Abbott on OLTL & Jeff Martin on AMC. Actors hop from soap to soap all the time. Its not new. In fact Characters crossing over from soap to soap is more of a new thing

Its not that new. Soaps were doing it back in the 80s  and 90s as well

Nicolas Coster, if he were alive today might disagree with you. 

While I agree that this is nothing new in terms of shows hiring former soap stars who are well-known or playing a certain character on another soap, I do think hiring these people to play new characters on GH is rather confusing. They had no problem having Jackson Montgomery or Blair Cramer on last year but are still creating new characters for people who the audience would most associate with their previous soap roles, like Cameron Mathison as Drew Cain, Michael E. Knight as Martin Grey and now Eva LaRue as this Natalia Rogers-Ramirez. Why choose to do it for some but not for all? That's annoying, IMO.

LOL...There's only 3 soaps left on network tv  though. The options for soap actors are limited hence why they are recycled so much now, hence making it easier to have them reprise an old role

MEK and Eva are at least good actors. All i see with Cameron is Ryan. He has no range and doesnt embody Drew at all

If you ask me, it's pretty simple. GH has no story for Maria. GH has story for Blaze's mom. Beautiful, a solid actress, right ethnicity, what's not to love?!

They could have had Blaze turn out to be (potentially de-aged) Maddie, with Eva playing Maria. This is a soap opera. We accept people being killed off on screen or even with their heads chopped off ("Soap Dish" reference). They could have done it if they wanted to.

And This is gonna be Mom aganist Blaze/Krissy/Anti Gay . That is not Maria. That would be OOC for Maria.
