Sonny slamming the door on Nina made me bust out laughing. That was probably the only decent moment of the show for me. I’m not sure I’m going to be able to keep watching for this Bobbie death story cause today’s episode was even worse than the previous in terms of feeling hollow.

Did we really need to pause on Carly grieving to see her and Drew ream in on Nina? It wasn’t even a good dragging either, they came off awful and I say that as a proud OG Carly apologist. Laura and Cynthia did great with what they were given but yeah, it was all very womp womp

The reveal of Bobbie’s death to temp Joss and Michael also fell flat for me. Whoever said the script writing is just so generic you don’t feel a real connection with anything was spot on. RIP to characters having distinct voices

I think Maurice Bernard’s son is a decent actor. He’s obviously only on to get another IMDB credit and master script memorization but I’m intrigued. I’ll be sure to tune in for his inevitable turn to full on crazy

i know other stuff happened but I already forgot and I just finished watching the episode on Hulu five minutes ago. The strike writers were much better

Can someone explain the criticism of Drew today?  I get that what he said to Nina was offensive.  But, isn't the point that people around Drew have noticed a change in his personality since he was released from prison?  It felt in-keeping with the story that Drew has become unhinged, and we are meant to be shocked by his behavior.  So, I don't get this thread reaction?  Is it because it was poorly acted?

I'm honestly confused, but not trying to criticize anyone's reaction.

Not that it matters to TPTB, lol, but Jeff Branson is too young to play Drew.  At the very least, I think whoever were to succeed CM (b. 1969) as Drew should be in the same age range as he and Steve Burton (b. 1970).

And casting Trevor St. John as nuDrew would end badly.  Very badly.  Like, "Trevor lies in a pool of his own blood, as Laura Wright is escorted out of the GH studios by the LAPD" badly.

I've long believed that if mobsters needed to exist permanently on GH, then they needed to be Runyonesque.  But that doesn't mean turning Sonny "Move Out the Way So's I Can Get a Clearer Shot At My In-Labor Wife!" Corinthos into Nathan Detroit.

Haha!  He just came to my mind.  I still am not sold on a need for Drew at all.

It's just way too much.  Not only does he buy all the holiday decorations for the hospital, but didn't he fund two separate wings of that hospital (Stone's and one for Mike)?  Give me a break!  And you know I actually like Sonny.

I forgot it was on.  What's the rundown?

    • I pray⏤and I know it's a big prayer⏤that Noel Maxam is somehow able to figure things out budget-wise so we can stop re-dressing existing sets as "new" sets. I know in apartment buildings apartments can generally look the same, but I'm over it on this soap. The last time he was executive producer was in 2011 when the original Horton Town Square was introduced, and we had some other sets get introduced around this time (likely pre-commissioned prior to his election), but I'm trying to have some hope he can pull this off. Let's [finally] see it.
    • Definitely not the best of RC's breakdowns. I don't know what it says that I could pick up his trademarks yesterday 30 minutes in without even knowing that he did one. There was something more...quirky/boardstroked...about Dani. Though I love the Dani/Nicole scenes, she was just a little too hip?...which made me think back to the episode when she broke into Bill/Hayley's house. Then watching the episode later on, I saw Hayley was being used as a punchline to the more interesting and relevant Bill/Ted scenes (see you all were just talking about how you hoped they got scenes...one thing this show is great at...what people want on this board...they already have the foresight for it. The reason I feel the DNA test will get mentioned @Cheap21 in more detail). And then poor Anita reduced for the most part propping up an album.    Needless to say, not my favorite RC episode. And since we are in aftermath week, I just smh. And barely worth a rewatch. BUT...was there good for me?    Yes. Thankfully, we still got good aftermath beats regardless of the breakdown.   Like I said, I really like the Dani/Nicole scenes. But I love their dynamic. And I was looking forward to the shoe being on the other foot once the SilkPress storyline hit climax. Quirks aside, it did not disappoint. Dani came in, and she came in fierce for her sister. I loved her attacking Eva. And then her being surprisingly introspective about Nicole due to her own experience. No wonder Nicole reacted to her being self-aware. So did I.    Meanwhile Bill and Ted finally met up. I'm kinda sad that we did not get that sooner given the scenes that played out sidepiece in the background aside. It might have been interesting to see more of their status as non-Duprees coming into the family explored.    And of course I can't leave without mentioning Eva vs SilkPress Sheila which was the highlight. Both of them were giving. And SilkPress was just so cold with it. I did love that Eva finally stopped letting her gaslight her. Sad to see the duo break up. But I did love that she went to Ted. So...the next turn begins.   And speaking of turns...uh oh at Kat and Tomas. I'm sure he won't be staying away from her. So most definitely, Kat vs Eva ain't over. It will be interesting to see how it goes now that most people know that Kat was right all along.
    • Nah I enjoyed it much more last year because of the Harry plot that ended during that time. Nazar being introduced and them. But this time it is so lame and nothing I like forward to anymore and I’m one of them long time fans. Of course I would be upset if they would cancel it but maybe take a year off or two and return refreshed
    • came across this quote that provides some context: “It’s hard to escape the cultural reach of the Catholic Church when you live in the Western world. It is, for better or worse, one of the load-bearing walls of our civilization. Its influence wafts from the church into the streets of civic life, the courts, the schools, the arts.”
    • Yesterday's show:   Can they give Ambyr Michelle the Emmy for supporting actress already?   Truly enjoyed the episode from Leslie and Eva, Eva and Ted, Nicole and Dani to Anita and Nicole.

    • Yes, I noticed after discovering Chandler was in several episodes. It's a shame it was canceled. I'm glad I was able to watch Chandler's episodes.
    • I'm Catholic, and I care, as do many who aren't Catholic. No need to be so nasty about it.. The whole episode was on Paramount Plus. That is where I watched it..
