To be fair this has never been Drew i dunno who CM is playing but it aint Drew Cain for sure

No. It's not. It's complete character annihilation, and I hate it.

Sonny slamming the door on Nina made me bust out laughing. That was probably the only decent moment of the show for me. I’m not sure I’m going to be able to keep watching for this Bobbie death story cause today’s episode was even worse than the previous in terms of feeling hollow.

Did we really need to pause on Carly grieving to see her and Drew ream in on Nina? It wasn’t even a good dragging either, they came off awful and I say that as a proud OG Carly apologist. Laura and Cynthia did great with what they were given but yeah, it was all very womp womp

The reveal of Bobbie’s death to temp Joss and Michael also fell flat for me. Whoever said the script writing is just so generic you don’t feel a real connection with anything was spot on. RIP to characters having distinct voices

I think Maurice Bernard’s son is a decent actor. He’s obviously only on to get another IMDB credit and master script memorization but I’m intrigued. I’ll be sure to tune in for his inevitable turn to full on crazy

i know other stuff happened but I already forgot and I just finished watching the episode on Hulu five minutes ago. The strike writers were much better

Temp Joss had a decent reaction and she never had scenes with JZ. Chad Duell who has many gave me nothing

Can someone explain the criticism of Drew today?  I get that what he said to Nina was offensive.  But, isn't the point that people around Drew have noticed a change in his personality since he was released from prison?  It felt in-keeping with the story that Drew has become unhinged, and we are meant to be shocked by his behavior.  So, I don't get this thread reaction?  Is it because it was poorly acted?

I'm honestly confused, but not trying to criticize anyone's reaction.

Spoiler

In fact, I wouldn't be shocked if he turns out to be Austin's killer and his guilt will explain his change in personality.

Yeah, not sold on Jeff Branson either.  He would probably do okay though.

Not that it matters to TPTB, lol, but Jeff Branson is too young to play Drew.  At the very least, I think whoever were to succeed CM (b. 1969) as Drew should be in the same age range as he and Steve Burton (b. 1970).

And casting Trevor St. John as nuDrew would end badly.  Very badly.  Like, "Trevor lies in a pool of his own blood, as Laura Wright is escorted out of the GH studios by the LAPD" badly.

The show doesn't need to lay it on that thick.  We get it.  Mobster.  Heart of Gold.

I've long believed that if mobsters needed to exist permanently on GH, then they needed to be Runyonesque.  But that doesn't mean turning Sonny "Move Out the Way So's I Can Get a Clearer Shot At My In-Labor Wife!" Corinthos into Nathan Detroit.

I think that was disgusting. But also kind of funny how outraged people seem to be when this is truly mild compared to what used to go down on this show, by Sonny. Like almost all of the 2000’s Guza run, especially women were terribly written for.

I agree, lol.

Haha!  He just came to my mind.  I still am not sold on a need for Drew at all.

It's just way too much.  Not only does he buy all the holiday decorations for the hospital, but didn't he fund two separate wings of that hospital (Stone's and one for Mike)?  Give me a break!  And you know I actually like Sonny.

Neither am I, @carolineg, lol.

If he weren't almost a decade older than Steve Burton and CM, I would suggest Ben Browder as a Drew recast.  He fits the type of person Drew is supposed to be.

We probably don't have to worry about Drew much longer.
