Gee, if Joss had been this caring last New Years Eve instead of being such a disgusting pig, maybe Britt wouldn’t have died and Cam wouldn’t have gotten his heart broken, just sayin.

Still say that this stuff with Mo’s son is just a trap.

I was glad to see that Willow had a bit of a backbone today though. She can be a lot more than just Michael’s little woman.

I did enjoy the Carly/Nina scenes too, despite the bias. The two of them really do have good fights. And I am interested in where they may go from here.

And yeah, Sonny in church will never not be funny

Yeah, not sold on Jeff Branson either.  He would probably do okay though.

Agreed.  I thought Sonny paying for all the decorations at the hospital for Christmas was unintentionally hilarious as well.  I just forgot to post about it.  The show doesn't need to lay it on that thick.  We get it.  Mobster.  Heart of Gold.

Honestly, no matter how many candles he lights he is so far past making it to Heaven.   I think someone recently said Sonny was a good man who made some bad decisions (Olivia?).   No, Sonny is a bad man who once every ten years stumbles upon a good decision.

I've long been a defender of Chris Van Etten & Dan O'Connor and their crew, but, after today's episode... they can all GO! The scripts of Carly & Drew were just... ugh. Disgusting, especially Drew. Not only was it out of character, but also way out of line. Bring back the interim writers until a new head writer and / or head writing team can be hired... preferably with a female in the mix.

I think that was disgusting. But also kind of funny how outraged people seem to be when this is truly mild compared to what used to go down on this show, by Sonny. Like almost all of the 2000’s Guza run, especially women were terribly written for.

All these people are scum!

Yikes...that was a bad show.  Not only Drew being a rage monkey to Nina, but also Nik casually suggesting how to destroy Esme.  She's like, what, 20?  Ava and Nik really need something better to do.

Also, on not such a serious note, why the hell is nearly 30 year old Dex just allowed to hang out in Joss/Trina's room?  I know it's holiday break, but he's there all the time.

    • Xanthe, evidence of the Michigan setting could be found in the scenes when Rachel is on the run for shooting Mitch, which was in late 1980/early 1981. I remember a scene where they showed Bay City on a map of Michigan.

    • Another great episode. I was loving how everyone had someone to seek comfort in as they absorbed the news about John’s death, particularly Johnny/Chanel and Paul/ Andrew

Seriously, Janel has become one of my favorite couples lately. Chanel has been such a steady hand in Johnny’s life and I’m looking forward to seeing how they’re there for each other in the aftermath of John’s death.  But I am also looking forward to seeing the next conflict for them lol especially since EJ’s shooting is still dangling out there and that Johnny is gonna start working at Titan.  Paul and Andrew were sweet too. I love how Andrew comforted him. Idk if I’d be able to get married so quickly if I was in Paul’s shoes, but I do agree with the fact that it is what John would’ve wanted. I enjoyed their scenes with Will and Carrie too, even though Will and Andrew acted like they weren’t cousins. Hopefully, we’ll get more scenes of them coming up. But yeah, I will never not believe that a Will/Sonny/Paul/Andrew quad is a massive missed opportunity. There are so many story possibilities for the four of them, especially now. But again, if we can’t get them all full time, I’m fine with each couple getting a happily ever after. Away from Salem and safe from Leo. Btw, Colton is really tall And, unfortunately it looks like Sami won’t be making it to John’s memorial and that really sucks. Friggin Sydney lol I was also loving Bo’s reunion with his family. They work so well together as a family and I couldn’t be happier that we’re finally getting moments like this. The three of them filling Bo in on what’s been going in Salem for all these years was nice but also a little sad, especially after Bo found out about Victor and Doug. But I wonder if Bo’s going to have any scenes with his new brother, Xander. Or how he’s gonna react to finding out about John. And, I guess it was necessary for Bo to meet Ciara’s little serial killers too.

    • I was thinking that voice sounded a lot like June. If Barbara left behind a baby she could be her daughter or granddaughter (the way ages work on this show I have no idea how old June should be).
    • I was left kind of wishing this too. I couldn’t help but to think how Eileen would’ve acted said scene.
