Is there a reason Edward And Lila's photos are 3x the size of everyone else's?

I understand why Steve Hardy's pic is bigger, but the Quartermaines? Were their money machinations at the hospital so huge to merit that attention?

And this might sound macabre, but what happens when someone not hospital-related at all dies? If something happens to Maurice Benard, does his photo go up on the wall because he walked the halls of General Hospital all the time?

Edward and Lila were on the hospital board.
Supposedly (per an unverified source) Steve's huge portrait was originally in the hospital boardroom when he was chief of staff.
This would explain why these three portraits are large, perhaps they were moved from the boardroom to the wall at some point?

The second row is doctors (well Steve was a doctor but see above)
and the last row is nurses.

BJ and Lucas *did* know each other.  He was the younger brother.
(Ryan Carnes played Lucas this week and as teen/adult.
Lucas was played by different actor as a child.
But same actress this week as played BJ as a baby and child)

Would love to see Ryan Carnes back. His presence during these episodes meant so much. Carnes is such an understated actor, and one who exudes empathy and authenticity. That Champ scene doesn't work without him.

Kudos also to Brighton Hertford. Bringing her back for these episodes was genius, but let's not forget that she's also an incredibly strong actress, and that's what made the gamble work.

I was very hard on the first 3 days of this memorial, and I don't back away from what I said, but this 4th day was very special. I did cringe at the quick-as-anything trip to and from Amsterdam where they found Bobbie's contacts in a day -- that line from Maxie that it took place over days didn't work for me -- but that's minor compared to all else that went on.

January 11th is "National Human Trafficking Awareness Day".
January 11th is "National Human Trafficking Awareness Day".
Really!
I wonder if the show knew or if it was more serendipity?

And January is now an awareness month on the topic.

Yeah but they had a whole scene Thursday where Carly and Felicia specifically talked about being from different generations, yet connected because Bobbie and Felicia were best friends.

Felicia talked about how Felicia and Bobbie were married to the Jones brothers, they were sort of like sisters and became best friends.
Plus one giving the other's daughter her heart.

Felicia talked about resenting Carly for stealing Tony because Tony was Frisco's brother - so what Carly did hurt the entire Jones family.

They talked about Maxie resenting Felicia's long absence but forgiving her.
And Bobbie resenting Carly stealing Tony but forgiving her.

So then in Thursday's episode Felicia decides to forgive Carly.

It was a really great dialogue about deep issues from the past that needed to be addressed, although I think it might have gone better in a separate episode.

I loved the dialogue and Laura Wright did well,
But it would have had so much more historical power if it had been Sarah Joy Brown in this Thursday conversation.  Oh well.  Here's the scene:

Maxie and Liz aren't even contemporaries. They're 8-10 years apart. The show has been pretty consistent about that. And Felicia is about 10 years older than Carly, they don't come across as contemporaries to me.

The Felicia/Carly scene was outstanding and man, for the first time in probably 20 years I actively ENJOYED a Carly scene.

All you "wah wah where are the flashbacks" people are real quiet right now. Are you not embarazzed?

    • Side note: I was thinking about the irony of the number of children John, Victor, and Stefano found later in life.  I wonder if Tony Dimera will ever find a long-lost child?  Either from Melaswen (I hope not), or a kid that Anna's kept hidden.

    • Hump Day Thoughts Let me start with the snark: I can accept that John's memorial will be held at the pub—but I do not believe that a man who spent years thinking he was a priest (and fought the devil twice) wouldn’t have wanted a church funeral. It’s not the choice of venue that bothers me—it’s the casual, throwaway dialogue that pulls me out of the moment. That said, I was genuinely riveted by the scenes of everyone catching Bo up on what he’s missed. His sense of shock and grief felt earned. Imagine waking up to find that so many people you loved had died—and that you’d caused so much pain to your wife and son. That brief moment of overwhelm was beautifully played. And if you think back to EJ or Stefan's resurrections, there was no acknowledgement of an adjustment.  (Of course, IRL, someone would’ve eventually told him: “Honestly, Bo, you were lucky to sleep through the Ron C. years.”

) Also, kudos to Hope for maintaining Bo’s beard, haircuts, and dye jobs all these years. I actually found it realistic. Many families of coma patients do keep up with grooming, partly as a way to pass time at the bedside. And let’s be honest: in real life, a lot of bearded men wake up clean-shaven because the machines require it… or because their wives secretly hated the beard all along. Props to Brandon Beemer today for stepping up and showing more emotional range than his usual “intensity mode.” It added depth, and it was needed. As for the chatter about the gay quad. I’ve read the comments, and I get the appeal, but I’ve never been a Paul fan. The guy’s just a drip. Not for me.
    • Honestly Mona shouldn’t even matter. Shanice freaking talked to Leslie. But no one seems to think to show her the footage or picture of Leslie? It’s such a stupid glaring hole.
    • Delusional Dani would view it as hope... but realistically, it's being cordial and adult...  something they both need to do.  Especially if Naomi and Chelsea ever decide to have children... it would be nice to have them being mature around one another and their kids and grandkids.   Kat needs to simmer down and let the police do their job.  I can excuse the coat and trying it on because she didn't know that it was previously Silk Press Sheila's... but the way she was with Mona when Mona was asked to ID the person in the video was Kat 'leading the witness on'. Even Mona said that she was now more then determined to see if Leslie/Dana was on the camera.   So a defense attorney could paint Mona as an unreliable witness.
