I can't stand Violet.  I can't stand the actress.  I know she's a child and I am an awful person, but I hope Hayden somehow gains full custody so I don't have to see her again.

I don't mind Charlotte as much, but no GH kids except James/Georgie act like normal kids.  Violet and Charlotte do use the most antiquated expressions lol.

That singing was torture. Give me 20 seconds of it and I won't comment at all, but that went on FOREVER. GH acts like they've discovered some child singing prodigy AND THEY HAVEN'T.

Of course, GH also acts like Eddie Maine is a Spotify sensation, so there's that.

I haven't liked Diane since forever, for all the reasons you name. I think Carolyn Hennesy is a decent actress, but to be perfectly honest, I can't get past her right wing politics, and that's what I see when she's on my screen. I am probably unfair, but I feel like she's playing herself.

I feel creepy saying this because she's a child but I cannot stand Violet, the whole package, actress & character!

Now, Charlotte's "Papa!" drives me crazy but I do realize the actress is good, so that's not as bad as Violet. I really truly want Hayden to come get her!

And my memory tells me Eddie Maine used to be entertaining. And when I see Wally with the guys he's good. But, NEddie ... wasn't good at all, not one bit! How weird is that?

Well, it's true I hate her politics, so that exists. But, really my dislike of Diane is separate but just as bad.

The only thing I enjoyed about Diane was when Robert humiliated her over Holly! So that's ugly!

Allow me to clarify.  I have no notes for two actresses.  I think there is a time and place for child actors on soaps, and one expects a few saccharine scenes around the winter holidays.

It is the archaic dialogue that I find objectionable.  It sticks out like a sore thumb that you have contemporary discussions about surrogacy and debt one day, and then little girls screaming, “papa, papa wherefore art thou?” the next.

I liked Violet and always thought the actress was cute, especially with her lisp. However, the moment she began ordering dinner and dates, et al, is when the allure wore off. Now? Hayden can come back to town, visit Elizabeth & others, collect Finn & Violet, and leave town, and when she returns, both are living without her somewhere in Europe or something.

I'll be honest and say Hayden is just a character that's a weird fever dream for me.  Why didn't they just make her Sarah?  Why does this character even exist?  If the show was going to get a name and hire Budig why did they make the character so random and awful?

Ask the "writer," haha. It would have made sense to just make her Sarah and bring the character back, instead of retconning things to suit one's own delusional preconceived notions their stories are worthwhile and pay-off. And then tie-in Billy Miller's casting as Jason Morgan? Whew. Choices. Honestly, I'd love to see Sarah return to Port Charles, but it seems like the writing regimes really dislike the character.

    • Where do you discover this crazy rumor??
    • Jill Farren Phelps was always very skilled at saying what she meant onscreen in the bluntest way possible, like whenever she wanted fans to support one character vs. the other (hence Megan McTavish groaning about having to write Kale Browne's Sam Rappaport into three days a week at OLTL). Perhaps you should consider doing the same. Historically your intent is always far more obvious than your efforts at coy embroidery anyway. You believe people are dismissing Phelps' accomplishments, and suggest misogyny and fan blinders allow people to too easily pigeonhole and dismiss her skill set. I think we all understand her varied skill set. We're saying it's not enough to make up for her deficiencies as a storyteller and creative. JFP was undoubtedly a skilled technical producer. As a solo storyteller, and de facto HW, she was a repeat and predictable failure. She was not the first or last EP (male or female) to think she was a writer. If you want us to stop taking your behavior personally when you suggest misogyny is at play in board opinions of JFP, perhaps you should consider spending the next 10+ years here not acting like you're the only one who gets it.

Melissa was here today & we went to Michael's Crafts & Ofc Depot. In Michael's there were two beautiful LITTLE girls who kept staring at me, so I gave them a littel wave & very quietly said HI & then did back. I told Melissa they were staring at me. She smiled & said "Purple. A lot of little girls love purple & you forget but you have purple hair. Seeing you their whole imaginations are transformed! Thinking "That lady has purple hair. That means I can have purple hair! They had no clue before seeing you that it was possible." I just laughed & laughed.
    • This opening scene is hilarious...it's like someone wrote out the script for Philip with one hand. And Rick...sniffing a scarf over and over. And in their next scene they are still sniffing the [!@#$%^&*] scarf as the camera stays all over Philip's bare chest and armpits as he keeps working out. Insane stuff.

Bay City better be ready, because I'm back!   At Vicky's apartment she is once again drowning in doubts and jealousy. Deep down she realizes that her dream wedding will be a farce and nothing can change that. Bridget tries to calm her down, but the heroine is determined to suffer. She is not hearing any positive thoughts. She doesn't believe Jamie will marry her. At the Cory Publishing building another farce is in process. Iris, once again pretending to be the angel of love and sisterhood... is telling Mac and Rachel some wonderful news. When Iris has good news, you really need to look out for yourself. That's when things are bad. So what are the news? Miss Devil has put Amanda up for an award! Mac is smiling from ear to ear, and Rachel is suspicious. Maybe that's the effect Iris is looking for. To once again accent on the fact that Rachel doubts and criticizes her daughter. Iris will do anything to destabilize their relationship. She is like a cancer. Back to Vicky! Jamie is at the door. Looking like a sad puppy, he has come with a surprise. No, he is not gonna leave her and her unborn... Not yet. He has bought her earrings. Sad face. How nice. NOT. Victoria, of course... manages to break one of them the moment she touches it. Bad premonition maybe? She was back in hysterics. It's not easy to trap a man into marriage. Then you have to live with someone that didn't want you in the first place.  We were introduced to a new character (to me at least she is new) - Cass's sister - Stacey. She is giving me "hidden skeletons in the closet"-vibes. Love a girl like that. Stunning actress. I like her. The highlight of the episode was the strange and creepy reveal of Evan the escort... hugging someone named Janice's grave. I remember she had an issue with Rachel... and Rachel killed her in self defense I think... It was hinted in prior episodes, but I lack the context and story. I just know that everyone at the Frame house was mad that Rachel killed the bish. But I also got the impression that this Janice was sick in the head. So Evan is now talking to her grave and telling her he is going to ruin Rachel's life basically. Oh, Evan... I liked you better as a sexy gigolo.  Overall - 10/10 - how can I rate it lower when I haven't watched in months!!!

    • Once again, Marlena and Kayla were used very effectively and I couldn’t be happier.  Marlena counseling Johnny and then Chanel was the best part of today. They’re really delving into the human emotion of this storyline and I think that’s a good thing. It feels so much mature than it was before. EJ’s fear about what could happen to Johnny if he doesn’t let go of his anger could lead to some really good storylines in the future.  I also really appreciate the way that Paula/Jeanne are mixing it up and having different characters interact with each other. It was nice to see Shawn and Johnny remember that they’re cousins and share a scene together. I liked the parallel that was drawn between the two of them, and what’s going on with their fathers. I did have mixed feelings about everything with Cat though. I enjoyed Chanel warning her about EJ, mostly because it played into the way that she was written today. But I wasn’t the biggest fan of the Chad/EJ scenes. The two of them discussing Chad’s potential feelings for Cat didn’t really keep my interest.  But above all, I feel that everyone is being used more effectively and that we’re getting a better understanding of everyone as well. And that was exactly what Days needed.
    • It's a wild story for sure, especially the final conclusion (and fireworks offcamera, like Victoria Wyndham tearing into Michael Logan).
