Last year, I believe, TC was interviewed on Maurice Benard's State of Mind and spoke about his battle with addiction. He said he battled it through marriage and a baby in Ohio, and divorce. He'd moved back to LA for work, but his alcoholism had left him unemployable and basically homeless. How he hoped that by talking about it, he could battle this demon and return to a better place. Benard told him he was one of the finest actors on GH he'd seen, and he looked forward to seeing him back in the GH halls again one day.

I am devastated that one of my fave soap actors way back when has experienced such a setback.  It sounds from the TMZ article like he may be homeless again.  I hope he finds help and support.

As I said in the GH thread, it's very sad. I was encouraged by his appearance on Mo's stupid show and thought Tyler sounded very honest, clear and committed to getting well. I even entertained his return in the future. It seems he still has a long way to go.

This is just so sad. I, too, really thought he'd turned a corner. I know recovery isn't always linear, but to have another public incident just when he seemed to be piecing his reputation back together... I hope he's able to find the resources to receive treatment and that he's able to commit to it fully.

This is sad.

I had a great friend who was an alcoholic. He tried to stay sober. It was a rollercoaster. He admitted to me that he couldn't take it anymore. His self worth was so low.  We would chat either by phone or by text regularly. I had lost a family member so I wasn't doing well. I finally pulled myself together and checked on Paul and noticed he hadn't called or text me. I thought he was busy with work. I later found out from his sister he had committed suicide by hanging himself. I found out he died the same day I lost my aunt. It hit me hard. Later on I found out he was reaching out to me a few days before he committed suicide.

How I still miss him to this day.

Le sigh.

I had hoped that moving down here to San Diego, but still finding work (not to mention SOM) was a sign of a turn in the road for him.

Positive energy sent his way.

*HUGS*

I just had to take care of an associate this holiday weekend (and got a nasty fall apparently) who was not at all wanting to live. Everyone else joked it off, but that's a trigger button for me and I was not having it so we sat with him, talked with him, and walked him home from the bar. So I feel that.

Like everything else in life, recovering from addiction is not a sprint, but a marathon.  Hopefully, TC will get the help he needs, and he'll get back on that road to recovery again.

I've been really concerned about him ever since he did Mo's State of Mind because he strongly indicated that he wanted one doctor to take care of everything & he's got a brain bleed, he's an addict, he's bipolar & something else that I've forgotten. But I remember that it was 4 things. And, they just call for specialists.

The greatest tv series season finale in history.
    • Mick Savage was sooo unbearable. And more unbearable was the reaction from the female characters to him - they were acting like he is God's gift to women and sooo irresistible. To a point of unbelievable cringe.
    • Today was a short one. Only 33 minutes.  The ‘Part One’ graphic at the beginning was pretty interesting though. I didn’t expect them to do something like that.  I like how everything was focused around John and his family and friends. Again, the acting and the dialogue was very well done and well written. And I love that they were able to incorporate Drake’s, “swing for the fences” phrase into the script. It was nice seeing everyone interact with each other, especially characters who don’t often share scenes together. It felt like every character was part of a big family or community. Plus, an outdoor funeral in June makes a lot more sense than an outdoor funeral in December.  But yeah, it’s very, very strange that Will isn’t at the funeral, especially since we know that

I would much rather he had been there today. And, where’s Anna too? And Jack and Jennifer? What was the point of bringing them all back if they weren’t going to attend the funeral? I expected Steve to want to close down BlackPatch, though I’d rather he just retire and let Paul take it over. But I like that Kayla was there to comfort him. I wonder if he’s going to change his mind at some point.  It was nice seeing Shane again too. Now, he just needs to have more scenes with his son lol but I enjoyed seeing him comfort Marlena. I’m not really sure about his interaction with Cat though? Was it really necessary for this to happen now, at John’s funeral? They could’ve waited a little longer to introduce this story arc.  Btw, was Tate bleeding from his head in his first scene with Arianna?

    • Now this strikes me as funny. I have it up on my acct. The thing is I only have S2. Didn't want either 1 or 3.  Perhaps I should just list all of these that I have up.  Parodies: Dirty Sexy Money, Filthy Rich Incomplete: The Monroes, All That Glitters, Falcon Crest (have all just not all up), Once & Again S2 only Complete: Models Inc, Pasadena, Pacific Palisades, Paper Dolls, Flamingo Road
    • This is wonderful! Thank you for posting this! I loved the first two seasons and never got to see the final season when they cancelled the DVD release. I've been hoping this popped up on streaming but no luck. Happy I'll finally get to see how it ended!

Morgan Fairchild, Barbara Rush. Developed by Rita Lakin.
    • Arguably DAYS OF OUR LIVES has been brilliant lately & definitely was last week. But, here I am with nitpick & technicalities. This was the only misstep but it was just a stupid thing that should have been caught. Deidre Hall as Marlena has this one problematic line, "It didn't matter how many identities you had, I always knew exactly who you were, you were the man who saved my life." - Marlena, DAYS, 6-2-25 Unfortunately the flashback closest to it was when Marlena was on the phone, terrified because she thought he was Stefano. Yes, it's true that the line is not accurate. There were many times when she did not feel the way she is claiming because of whatever was going on in story with his 'retconned to hell & back' identity & origin story. Does it keep the whole week from being called excellent? Nope.
