I'm sure I'll end up putting this in some dedicated thread along with more to say, but Jackie is one of my very first memories of the show. I just adored Bobbie from the start, she was a favorite from the jump. I was always invested in her and even when I teased her about her face work in recent years I never stopped rooting for her to keep it together and was always happy to see her.

I have to call my ex on this one, he was a lifer too.

I can't believe this is happening.  Jackie Zeman, gone?  This has to be some kind of sick joke.

What that lady was able to accomplish through her work on GH -- taking a scheming, self-centered student nurse and turning her into one of most beloved heroines in soaps -- is astonishing.

Damn.  Just...damn.

From the start, JZ imbued Bobbie with so much heart and soul that you couldn't help but root for her, despite her function as spoiler for Scotty and Laura's romance.  And her scenes of grief over B.J.'s death?  In a word: phenomenal.  She, along with everyone else involved in that story, set a standard in daytime that has yet to be matched.

This is just so unreal.  We have to appreciate the few, remaining daytime vets we still have while we can.

    • Another great episode.  GH has been pretty good this year, loading up the chamber, because now there's many bullets to fire, and another one was fired today when Nina found out Michael is the father of Sasha's baby.  I hope this secret comes out at the hearing.  I've also liked the slow burn with Gio/Emma. There's just so many things to look forward to on this show now.  GH is finally back to being really good.
    • I'm all for it. Get them Nina!

    • I am blown away that Christie Clark is 51, and she debuted 39 years ago. They gave her a lovely script today.  But, I could not think of any other examples in culture of someone able to jump right back into the skin of a character, after virtually retiring from acting years ago. I was trying to recall if Carrie left for a bit with Anna after Roman died (because she wasn't at Bo & Hope's wedding), and then returned as a pre-teen Christie?  Or if she was just SORASed off-screen?  But, whenever I see the character I am reminded how much more trauma she's endured than Sami, and yet she remains such a nice person.
    • Weirdly I feel like Nina was the most sus about the entire situation.  Normally I would have given this one to Carly, but Nina was always kind of trying to make it make sense. I think Nina (and Alexis) are actually really smart characters.  They just constantly get in their own way with dumb plans lol.
    • Rewatching some of 1991 I had to appreciate what a strong week March 5-12 1991 was. Cassandra dies, Nina shoots David, Sheila switces the babies, and drunk Nikki all occurring simultaneously. 1991 and 92 were pretty strong overall.
    • Still loving all the Gio fallout, but the scenes that really surprised me this episode were the ones with Nina and Maxie. I was not expecting Nina to be the one to put together all the pieces about Sasha's baby daddy. This custody hearing is about to get explosive!
    • I really hope after the secret comes out their interactions don't stop
    • BAHAHA  I needed that laugh today. Talk about one note.  I would put Derek and Ashley a notch above Dani. Dani's scenes are basically rinse, lather, and repeat for 60 episodes and counting.  It's as if she was transported from the soap opera Passions onto this soap.  MVJ should put aside her friendship/admiration for Karla and look at the fact that this character isn't wroking as written.
    • Agreed.  It doesn't feel in character at all.
    • You could always tell whenever Douglas Marland enjoyed writing for a particular actor, because he'd pull out all the stops for them; and Julianne Moore was no exception.
