I'll say this much: if the choice is between a Sonny/Alexis redo or the continuation of Alexis and Gregory, then I choose the former, lol.

I have been wanting Sonny and Alexis to at least hook up again for years. They could play it like a 'secret' affair a la Something's Gotta Give, lol. It can be a transitional thing for both and also allow the characters to openly evaluate their past and relationship in an intelligent way.

They’ve been a slow burn couple, you have to have suffered through two years of “will this EVER happen?” to really get it.

So if I have this right if not for the pre-emption two weeks ago then today’s episode would have been last Friday’s episode. I can’t believe a pre-emption forced them to have an appropriate Friday cliffhanger.

Love Sprina’s reunion. The kids have chemistry I’m sorry and it’s only ramped up since they’ve been allowed to get physical.

Speaking of chemistry, no matter how many scenes they give us of Dante and Sam making out and being lovey dovey I’m never gonna be invested. Their conversations with Nina and Carly today were monumentally boring and so are they. Bring back Lulu! #MarciMillerasLulu

I like the idea of Robert coming and going as WSB agent. So much of the world’s traumas seem to happen to this small upstate NYC town anyways! He doesn’t need a job in Port Charles - a club, as DA or otherwise?

What is Mac’s job these days? Other than being ogled at at the pool? I wouldn’t mind Mac and Felicia taking over Kelly’s for Bobbie while they balance their adventuring and private investigating. Both are great talk to characters for the community. They have so many experiences from a broken marriage, blending families, loosing children, dealing with health crisis like AIDS. Unlike Ruby and Mike, whose traumas happened offscreen before they came to the canvas, we witnessed those traumas live at viewers. Not going to lie, I think this setup is just what Port Charles needs right now.

Mac I think still runs the Floating Rib (formerly Jake's). I thought he'd left the PCPD for good about a decade ago, but now I think he may be back again in some capacity? I'm not sure. Felicia is still an active private eye, which is why she's so active in story.

Oh yeah.

I remember the explosion now I guess I just forgot where it was at.  That wasn't a good time on the show.   I totally forgot about Dev and my thoughts that character was going to lead somewhere and he just...didn't.

ETA-at least I am not the only one on here that forgot.  I feel less stupid.

    • Well, that is weird. I do not see him but I only have him on Ignore on 2 accounts.
    • In the preview for the show back in February on Entertainment Tonight, Jeresa the costume designer was specific about each character's economic background, personality, and the character's personal fashion preferences.  Very much about the characters and not the actors. She said Eva is a thrifter, so her normal daily wardrobe would be something from a thrift store, and if BTG buys it new, they intentionally make it look used. So what you said fits about the type of thing a lower income person would buy for a fancy event.
    • As hard as it is for me to imagine anyone but Don Stewart as Mike Bauer...I dunno...maybe someone like "Adam-12"'s Kent McCord?  Or Robert Hogan?
    • Yep I don't hate Javi and then he's macking on Leo and I'm done with him. Leo is a failure who needs to go away   I am bracing myself for Alex reading the manuscript and imagining him and Stephanie as the main characters, because this couple has literally nothing else to do until Joy comes back showing
    • Oh yes. The towel scene though
    • Interesting that Donald May has been mentioned twice. He's on my dreamcast list for Alan. He was somewhat older than Stewart and Bernau, but he could have played either role. An actor I thought about for Mike was Dan Hamilton. He played a role on GL during the 60s, but enough time had passed that it shouldn't have been a problem. He usually played smarmy characters but it would have been cool if they had gone against typecasting.
    • I like Jed Allan, it has to be someone who can play authority but "good" authority to oppose Alan's bad. As mentioned upthread, can you imagine how it would have been with Alan and Mike against each other, with Roger in the mix. But I would have had Roger, ever the opportunist to try to take advantage of their fighting to make his own headway.  Maybe that could have been the storyline, Mike involved with Alex, but the constant fighting with Alan causes a rift (she like Mike fighting Alan when it is to her advantage, but he can be a bit self righteous and I can see him demanding her to disavow Alan publicly..) so that is how Roger lands in her bed, much to the consternation of BOTH Alan and Mike. I would like to have a woman of a certain age being fought over by two men (really three if you count Alan.
    • Please let May have less garbage time. The Y&R threads have shrunken, whereas I can barely keep up with the Beyond the Gates threads.
    • The Liam cancer story was a failure from day one. It didn't start at point A but at a late point C. My aunt had brain cancer, and it isn't being told properly or correctly.
    • OMG, did Gio look good. Do not get me started on how good he looked. Lord. It's as if the writers realized Lulu had almost no scenes with her mother, so they wrote all this material for a 2-day Lulu/Laura therapy session. It was nice to see them connect, but I scratched my head yesterday when Lulu tried to connect her adoption story to Laura's life. That was a stretch to me, and I sign the writers were working overtime. Today, the script eventually got to the right place, but I thought it was overboard to see Lulu so worked up that she was near tears. That's investment in a story that's become an obsession.
