Name a charachter from one show that would also fit in on another soap.

Erica from AMC could work on either B&B or Y&R. I could see Erica going to to toe with Stephanie Forrester or arguing with Nikki over Victor.

GH Jason would definately fit in on 2000s era OLTL especially with endless crime stories and John McBain.

  • Elizabeth Webber (General Hospital) would have worked on All My Children following her 2011 dismissal. A quick pop over to Pine Valley to work with Cara & Griffin Castillo, David Hayward, Angie Hubbard and Jake Martin at Pine Valley Hospital; a brief yet impactful romance with Ryan Lavery; and then a return to Port Charles. It would have kept Rebecca Herbst in the ABC family and more solidified open doors for those listed above to come into Port Charles.
  • Carly Tenney Snyder (As the World Turns) could have worked for a short period of time during the 2011 reboot of Days of Our Lives, coming into Basic Black, as a designer. And, in that regard, Barbara Ryan also could have fit.
  • Liza Colby (All My Children) could have had a cute, short-term stint as an interim D.A. on The Young and the Restless defending anyone up against either Christine and/or Michael.

I always hoped that GL and ATWT had a proper crossover storyline. The Springfield PD and Oakdale PD working together on some murder mystery.

Starr Manning crossover to AMC as an intern at Fusion Cosmetics. Although, I don't know if Fusion was a thing in 2010 (around which time Starr would be college aged) as I was no longer watching then. It would be a great opportunity for writers to take the character in many directions.

In retrospect, after Cecile (Nancy Frangione) wrapped up her '86 stint on AW where she kidnapped Cass and held him in St. Thomas, I wish NBC would have moved Cecile to SFT. The show definitely needed more life and a character like Cecile could have provided that spark. Cecile could have "escaped" from her new teenage King husband and run off to little ol' Henderson to hide out. I know AW's ratings were in the tank then as well, but Cecile could have possibly drawn a few more AW viewers to check out SFT. She could have become a great foil to the Bela/Sunny relationship. I remember enjoying SFT very much when it ended and was sad to see it go.

DR David Hayward from AMC to GH. I am still shocked GH never got Vincent.

He would fit into the madness of Port Charles.

Marlena from Days to Passions. Maybe she could’ve saved that show from being as messed up as it is/was.

Chloe and Gabriela from Days over to B&B. Those characters would work way better over there tbh.

Jake from Another World would’ve fitted so well on Days or OLTL.

Chelsea from Y&R would’ve been a great asset to GH

AW/ATWT/GL

Cass and Felicia.  At first i was thinking that they would be perfect for GL as AW and GL seemed like the most similar shows to each other in tone and feel.  Of course Cass DID crossover to both ATWT and GL but he was a much more mature character opposed to hos cross-dressing, hiding from mobsters hijinks from the 80s.  I  couldn't see Felicia Gallant and Reva existing comfortably on the same show. But with ATWT and AW, Felicia and Lisa were both restautant operators.

GH/GL

I could see gh's felicia and frisco on gl and gl's beth and lujack on gh.  Felicia and frisco fitting into the shenanigan adventure scene that gl somewhat neglected after quint/nola.  Beth/lujack fitting into young love on the run and supercouple territory that gh excelled at for a long time.

OLTL/GL

On a similar note, OLTL'S Tina and Cord would've been a perfect fit for GL.

DAYS/ATWT

Victor Kiriakis.  ATWT could've used a strong (shady) rival to Lucinda in the business world.

    • Right? GOD FORBID Vanessa be allowed to cut her own mother-in-law down to size, when REVA REVA REVA needs a rival to sharpen her claws on. RME
    • I really have no problem with Kai as a character or with the actor. The problem is putting together two very nice people -- Kai and Trina. Neither of them has a bad side, neither of them has a devil on the shoulder, neither of them is impulsive. I think that's a problem in a soap relationship. Yeah, I agree. All this freaking out might make sense if Lulu wanted to do a tabloid expose on BLQ's LOVE CHILD. We have no indication that's the case.
    • So Sonni would have somebody to talk to who she wasn't conspiring with (Will or Alan)? Alex kept telling Sonni how important her friends were...when she had virtually no friends. Instead they created loyal servants like Jane and Vera to give Alex people to play off of. They did that with Iris on AW, but Vivien was mostly there for comic relief Alex keeping Marah's paternity a secret was absurd. But I still love the scene between Alex and Alan where he convinces her by reminding her how they protected each other from their abusive father. Chris and Bev ATE that scene. Unfortunately, that took place only a few months before he exited the show...always thought they could have built on that, explored more how being Brandon's children screwed them both up. Maybe even used it as an explanation for the way their relationship could constantly swing from hatred to love. Instead of it being merely dictated by the plot.
    • The first one is Cass Winthrop dressed as Krystle Lake on Another World (not from his original creation of the character to hide from the loan shark Tony the Tuna, but at a romance convention trying to find out what had happened to Felicia who was missing). The second one is also Another World, Jake McKinnon as Doris although I don't recall what his purpose was.
    • I know there was one brief scene in the summer of 1989 where Lillian did mention Calla.. but in relation to her past relationship to Ross and it was to Roger while he was a patient at Cedars.  I think he was trying to pump her for information on Ross.. and for some reason, Calla's name came up.   I could see perhaps Beth mentioning that her mother Lillian was visiting Calla.. but not exactly giving any sort of details as to the going ons in Calla's life off screen.

    • They're neither great nor terrible AFAIK, but it is more a question of the streaming numbers in this day and age vs. actual TV airings. The Chibnall era reminded me much more of the crisis years, but I do think it's a very real possibility now as well due to the streaming bubble collapse affecting the show and its prospects.
    • ANYTHING to get her off the screen..she COULD have been interesting if she and Van had a few face offs..(there was a mild one of her going back to work...but I wanted something meatier "Bitch, I am Vanessa Chamberlain and I don't take advice from someone who followed the..career path you did!" I did like Alex's outright disdain for her.
    • Thanks @Vee for the commentary.    I haven’t even watched this season yet after  I couldn’t get past the couple episodes last season…like it was too Disneyified for my taste, although I did think it was a least better than the Chibnall era (but so is a lot of things). I’ll probably go back and binge it now. Hoping this season ends on a high note. I did read the ratings are terrible. As it stands I’m beginning to feel like what long time DW fans felt with S26 in 1989.
