Script by straight male Richard Culliton and directed by straight male Scott McKinsey.

RCulliton did write it but they had a woman direct it! Her name is Angela Tessinari. I was SO tickled when I found out that they had a woman direct it! That is one of the things they did right.

Angela Tessinari. I spelled it wrong at first.

I saw on the Official NBC DOOL message board this:

Paulina and Sloan Peterson just did a Will Smith / Chris Rock scene

Did anyone recognize a comedy bit? And, I wish they would change their officialness to Peacock!

What?  I don't think such a thing exists.

It's on Facebook. That is what it calls itself. Been around a long time. Humongous amount of traffic. Has a huge NBC logo & an NBC peacock, also huge. I've never liked it because it is so big. There's just too many people. But I've posted there some & that always leads me back when someone replies. Right now they're in a terrible state. They have happy DOOL fans acclimated already to Peacock. They have backlash fans who cannot or will not go to Peacock. They have people complaining & wanting to go back to NBC. They have people getting impatient with the old backlash rhetoric. They have people who just want to talk about the show. And now they have people too religious to cope with the threesome.

You're right, too, about a threesome with 2 or 3 men, except I don't believe "it ain't going to happen for a long time." I don't think it's ever going to happen, period. It's more likely we'll get a farce with Sonny having sex with goofy and annoying as hell Leo.

Agreed!

It's true what an SON poster once said that Carlivati hates Will and Sonny and that's why he never wrote anything for them. Leo is Carlivati inspiration.

I still haven't seen these week's episodes and I'm not sure I will.

Wait. You are saying that the message board does NOT exist? Okay, I don't mean to be rude but this is hilarious. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

A facebook group is not NBC's official messageboard.  It's a facebook group.  Anyway this is a pointless conversation.  Moving on.....

RC clearly identifies with Leo much more than Will/Sonny.

You are referring to this?

That is NOT an official DAYS facebook group.  It's just a random fan-run community that decided to call itself "official".

The official DAYS facebook page is here:
https://www.facebook.com/daysofourlives/
And it's not a group. It's the show's page.

Sure thing. Live & Learn. I don't think about people being ridiculous enough to call themselves official if they're not.

So much of this is spot on. It IS a well-worn straight male fantasy, and as written it is NOT interesting, and it is NOT organic to these characters/plot.

As I said, if they had to have a threesome, it would've made more sense for it to be with Tripp since the set-up was there - you had Allie who had cheated on Tripp with Chanel, then the almost-thing with a drunk Chanel and Tripp that Paulina interrupted. They're three young, hot and conflicted people who all have feelings for each other and they try to solve it in a sexy (ugh) way. It sets up for Tripp leaving when he realises that Allie and Chanel aren't ever going to be that into him, after all (implications of what happened during the threesome!).

Now I fear they'll really pull the pregnancy card and in all honesty - I don't think we need to see RSW playing an expectant father again, plus Allie already has a small kid and I'd rather Chanel actually stay child-free for now. Ugh.

Well, it came from Allie & it seemed to me to be nothing but insecurity & to come out of her head. Talking to herself she seemed to be getting preoccupied with the idea that Chanel was not satisfied & that she wasn't because she wasn't getting something that she was used to having. When she brought it up to Chanel she said, that no, she was quite happy, fulfilled, liking it being the two of them, enjoying being a couple & all that that meant. That's why I say this came out of the top of Allie's head! We've been told before that Allie is the one who is going to be insecure. But, Allie's also persistent & impulsive. After living with this idea for a [gasp] DAY, she broached the subject to Chanel as something she wanted them to do. If you ask me, Allie made her first adult mistake, but, maybe they will work it out & learn from it. Because Chanel was insisting, still that she wasn't lacking for anything. No other case for the "project" was floated.

OK, but I honestly think we’re pretty much saying the same thing. Whether it was all in Allie’s head doesn’t make a difference. Perception is reality, and her thoughts were her reality.

Chanel could have shut this down before anything happened. Their communication skills are terrible.
