Very strange.  Even if Angelica had fictional full custody, it would make no sense for Alex to never meet his cousin his entire life lol.  Maybe it's because Steve was fakedead and Kayla wasn't proactive about meeting up with Steve's family?  Doesn't seem like Kayla, but it's a vaguely plausible explanation, I guess.

Somebody suggested that on Twitter and after reading it I was like, If Kayla's the type of person that would keep her daughter from her aunt, grandmother, etc. because she felt sad, then why do we like her so much?

I am giving this way too much thought.  More than RC, but Kayla and Kim were in LA, correct?  Perhaps neither Adrienne/Justin/Kayla made much effort to see each other?  I think a long time ago it was mentioned Kayla was still deep in mourning for years, so maybe she was just depressed lol.   I am not a huge fan of Kayla, Adrienne or Justin, so I'll allow it   Maybe Kim raised Stephanie mostly and that's why Stephanie generally makes horrible decisions in her love life.

I guess that's possible. I still don't see it though. It just doesn't seem likely to me that Alex and Stephanie had never met before. Sonny and Stephanie had never met on screen until now but they knew each other. Alex and Stephanie's scene in Horton Town Square could have been written like that.

Plus, I think Stephanie lived with Adrienne and the boys (that's how Sonny, Alex, Joe, Vic were referred to back then) for a little while in 2007

I didn't realize Stephanie briefly lived with Adrienne lol.  So no excuse I guess.  Just to make it less creepy they are cousins.  Again, if the show was aiming to immediately pair RSW with the actress that plays Stephanie, why couldn't he be someone else lol?

Re.: the theory that Kayla kept Steph from the Johnsons… I don’t remember Steph living with Justin & Adrienne and “the boys” in 2007 (I kinda lost track of Hogan’s “Days” during “The Vendetta”) but I do remember that when Adrienne returned in 2010, she and Steph were extremely close.  Adrienne was like a surrogate mother to her and tried to be a good influence when Steph was going darkside with Nathan & Melanie (meanwhile, Sami, Steph’s other mentor, was encouraging her to do “whatever it takes” to get what she wanted lolol).  So there’s no possible way she and Alex wouldn’t have met (many times), esp. if she lived with them.  But a grief-stricken Kayla withdrawing from Steve’s family is a better retcon than Anjelica having full custody of him omg lol!  And it’s been overstated that Adrienne was Kayla’s best friend, regardless of Steve.

Now the Peacock promo… i teared up lol.  The Horton living room was bright af, but looked lovely.  Dee was Dee lol.

Deidre is begging you to pay because she and the rest of the cast love you.

IMO it's a mistake reminding the audience how horrible the show is by showing the characters featured.

    • Haha. The fact that I stopped regularly viewing at the same time and know what you are talking about is chef's kiss.    I'm slowly bingewatching Nurse's Ball Week. But it's slow for me because a lot of the same tics and writing flaws for me that made me throw up my hands is still evident *cough*CVE*cough* Thankfully, there are some things I like also and from a glance in the GH May Thread, it seem like it had a good Sweeps with good fallout. And do I even need to mention Nina finally slapping the taste out of Carly's mouth? See? Regardless of her flaws, I do enjoy Korte-headed episodes over CVE-headed episodes because they always seem to have more emotional resonance to long-time fans.
    • And that charity does still get mentioned from time to time. I want to say the last time was some time this year, too.
    • Oh, no. Vernon has definitely had his moments.   Choose silence anyone?
    • Search YT for Edwyn Sanchez, he posted an AI enhanced episode of ATWT and it is beautiful.
    • That's so funny, that's how I listen to Montecito - while walking my dog. I'll have to check out Forever & a Day.
    • I need to listen! Forever & a Day was a fun soapy podcast to have available when I walked the dog.
    • A few years ago, Devon and Nick started a charity organization together, I think it's for housing in the community.
    • I’m hoping to start getting to know Vernon better this month. He’s really only been a bunch of noble and good tropes so far. I don’t want him to be taken down the way Ted has been, but it seems he was a long-running Senator and no matter what party you are, lasting longer than twenty years means you’re looking out for you (and not who you’re supposed to be looking out for) most of all. I want to get to know both Vernon and Anita beyond their Dupree posturing. Clifton Davis can sleepwalk handling the kind of material Christopher Bernau and David Lewis handled and I’d like to see more than just a saint.
    • I thought Emily/Hal was a really interesting pairing. And I think KMH played that version of Emily very well! It might not have been what people wanted from Emily, and the writing got pretty gross at the end, but I thought she embodied that character effectively.
    • Don't know if this exactly fits here, but it is connected: Does this abandoned building look familiar? It is one of those explorer videos - and the outside may look VERY familiar if one watched GH in the '70s and '80s!
