Chandler does seem more into Zach's Sonny and I know enjoyed Will with Paul. I think Freddie was bored so when they repaired Wilson, Both just checked out

I just rewatched Days fights from 2017 and Sonny got his ass kicked  a lot

I still need to watch the 1.5 episodes of Beyond Salem I've been setting to the side like a procrastination list. So much has been going on in the real world, it's crazy. But for DAYS, I don't really care. Two marriages poppin' out of nowhere and I forgot Sami left Salem. Stacy and Gwyneth (Gwen) were having a conversation about Sarah and how she's probably losing her marbles now more than ever.

I dunno. Whatever. I don't care.

I wish Evan wasn't so stupid. You could make him WilSon's "Kristen". Someone who is obsessed/in love with Sonny, that will stop at nothing to get him back and build a life with him.  Sonny and Will don't have a villain like that. All they have is Leo.

I'm liking Jada so far. I'm just hoping to see finally see her out of cop mode and see if she has chemistry with anyone.

Idk about NuRolf though. Hopefully he's just a temp until Will Utay decides (or is able) to come back. His accent is so fake and Idk about that Charles Keating ponytail that he's rockin either

And honestly, why do Shawn and Belle never lock their frigging door?

Evan had potential. He should've continued his involvement in the gay scene. Evan may be bi on the show but he's totally gay.

We could potentially have five main gay characters in the canvas with Chad in the mix.

We did have three plus a minor gay character back in the day.

Anyone remember him?

I loved Derrick the bell hop! Zach Tinker is either roommates or friends with Spencer Neville that played Derrick. Depending on how busy he is, they could get him back on the show.

I also loved Brian, played by Brant Daugherty. We were supposed to root for Sonny and Will to get together, but I personally thought Brian was a much better catch. Sonny was stupid to reject him.

You're forgetting Neil Hultgren from 2012, the first man Will ever kissed. Played by Krist Kristofferson's son Jesse Kristofferson.

I mentioned him briefly back on page 13 of this thread, and as I said there, the character Neil Hultgren was named after Days writer Ryan Quan's boyfriend at the time.  That was ten years ago.   Ryan and the real-life Neil got married two weeks ago on July 9, 2022

Now here is a bit more detail about the character:
Will and Neil kissed in February 2012.

Later on, in June 2012, when Will was accused of shooting Stefano, Neil came to the police station to tell Rafe and Roman that Will was with Neil the night of the shooting, at "The Spot" which was an off-camera gay bar that the characters referenced sometimes. Neil was giving a truthful alibi to show that Will was innocent of the crime.  Roman didn't believe it at first, but Neil said in reference to The Spot:  "That's where we go when we go out."  Then Will confirmed it; and that was how Will came out to Roman - confirming that he goes to the gay bar with Neil.

Sonny first kissed Will in August 2012.

Today's show was terrible. The scenes with Shawn and Evan had me laughing. Just a hot mess.

MM can't act sh!t!

Governor pardon for the worst criminals in Salem?

    • Yes, they did.  I still have them.  I think there were three.  AMC and GH as well.
    • Ah okay, thats what I thought. I was hoping I missed the announcement somewhere. Thanks for the clarification.
    • A new day in Salem… and a new day for Days.  I like the way everybody found out and absorbed the news about John’s death, and how they all eventually found their way to Marlena’s to offer their condolences. I’m not particularly sure why they waited until the next day to tell everybody but I don’t really mind it.  We finally got Roman’s perspective! His scenes with Kayla were one of the best parts of today. I’m glad that Roman is thankful for everything that John did for his kids. I agree with posters who said that he should’ve had a scene like this with John, but I’m happy we got this at least.  Julie was used very well today too. She’s definitely the best person for Marlena to have scenes with at the moment. Hopefully, Julie continues to be there for her. And yes, I totally agree with Marlena and Belle sending EJ away when he came to the apartment. I’m curious to see what’s going to happen to his and Belle’s relationship in the aftermath of all this. And, while I enjoyed most of Brady and Kristen’s scenes, I still think the ship has sailed for them. Hopefully, the aftermath of John’s death causes Brady to finally end this thing with her once and for all.  And, I see a lot of people were wearing some kind of shade of purple today.

    • Wow, I love that current and former actors are participating in this. I barely recognize Staci Greason! She looks fine, just very different. But I will be happy to hear anecdotes from her. I shipped RoJohn and Isabella hard back in the day, and I sobbed buckets in my dorm room at college when Izzy B passed. Honestly, I'm interested in everyone's stories. Drake seemed like he was well loved among the cast.
    • When she first appeared, I was sure she was setting Tyrell up for a prank. She was too much of a manic pixie dream girl- I wasn't surprised Tyrell also became suspicious. Now I'm not so sure. If Jessica genuinely likes Tyrell, it seems like a missed opportunity to not have started her out as a bully, then we see her gradually catch feelings for Tyrell.  The McBrides are definitely the "C" family of BTG. They always get last priority. There have been a few times where the Doug/Vanessa/Joey characters reference off screen conversations which seem too important to not show us. Like when Doug thanked Joey for giving him extra time to pay off the loan. When did that happen? Or when we abruptly moved from Vanessa/Joey at Uptown to Vanessa/Doug in the hotel room. The McBrides don't even have their own set - even though Vanessa is a realtor. It's a shame because I am a fan of the characters and actors.

I am also adjusting to KR as Ted but I feel that AM and MJ had way more chemistry as father and daughter than AM and KR. We saw Eva dream of having a real relationship with MJ's version of Ted for months so it's a bit of a bummer not to have that payoff with the original actor except for those scenes in MJ's last episode.  Something I noticed about Eva today is how she takes genuine delight in being a schemer. As badly as she wants to be a Richardson, she still has so much of her mom in her. It was jarring seeing her earnestly promise to steer clear of Leslie in her scene with Ted, then immediately switch attitudes when her mom showed up.  I'm very surprised with how quickly the accident story has been moving along. I was sure that it would be months if not years before people figured out it was Leslie on the motorcycle, not to mention responsible for the potassium overdose. I'm looking forward to seeing how MVJ and Guza avoid writing Leslie into a corner.  Finally, I have been loving the Articulettes story. Bonita Brisker was just the right amount of OTT - remember Sharon is supposed to be even more angry than Tracy is. If Sharon didn't come in swinging, people would say she fell flat. The way Sharon and Tracy describe the breakup is so Supremes-meet-Original Recipe Destiny's Child. I get the sense that MVJ is re-writing the Return to Love Tour as a roman a clef, and I love it. I'm looking forward to finding out what the secret they share is. If Dante Green is as shady as Berry Gordy was, it's something dark. If/when they go through with the reunion, I expect Dante to show up and claim to own the Articulettes trademark in a Lou Pearlman-esque twist.
    • Other than hanging out with Liz, all of Lucky's stories have been stalled out or dropped; the relationship with his son; his wanderlust. He hasn't been involved in any of the action/adventure or con artist stuff. I don't think he's even had a scene with Sidwell since the latter came to town. He's a real after thought. I doubt he's long for the show.
