Well, at the very least, DAYS could run promos during commercial breaks: "Want to know MORE about Renee DiMera?  Go to NBC.com/DAYS and read all about her wild adventures in Salem!  You can even watch hand-selected clips and see what Renee [shot of PS], Tony [shot of TP], Anna [shot of LH] and everyone else [brief clips of other characters from that period] was up to back in the day!"

Wait, did they kill off Lee?

You can't explain it, because it doesn't compare.  Spoon's just pissed that hardly anyone else on this board thinks this Sarenee [!@#$%^&*] is gold just because it's showing off itself by dropping old character names.

The story isn't  great but l will take history in any form.  Jamey had lots of great ideas in his podcast referencing history and all that. To me the main draw of soaps in the continuity.  I think Saranee is crap but I really do appreciate name dropping.

It's referencing show history, that's how I see it.

He had great ideas on his podcast and it's great to see someone who loves the genre be able to contribute to the medium.

I'm not defending the Renee story, I'm  defending Jamey and using a shows deep history.  I appreciate deep cuts, even if I wasn't  watching back then.

Perfect.  That would be great to at least give the viewer some insight.

I just assume Lee is dead.  I don't think it's ever been mentioned, but with BB's passing I always just thought they wouldn't touch it.

Lol!  I was trying to rack my brain to figure out how MZ and MG returning after 10 years is the same as LG faux playing Renee after 40 years.

Referencing history is the Devil saying Belle was the product of passion and infidelity.  True facts.

Maligning history is what this Sarah/Renee story is doing.  Just my opinion.

They probably wouldn't, given the circumstances surrounding BB's death.  Then again, this is the show that saw nothing wrong with using the late Macdonald Carey's disembodied face to scare the bejeezus out of Marlena.

    • Yassss....come on Maurice and Brandon...give us nothing!!! Wow, their need to develop their craft shone like a blinding light this episode. Brandon in his Martin and Smitty scenes sounded like he was reading and the facial expressions were giving Disney Channel. He did much better against Maurice in the Martin v Ted scenes. Now, Teddd-dyy (Dana's voice) was just flat. I watched the episode just now after reading the comment on here that Maurice needs to stop swaying, and now I can't unsee it. Has it really been this bad all along?  Ambyr carries. I don't need to say anymore. I am kind of excited to see this Kat/Tomas/Eva stuff play out.  Bill is such a dick to Dani. Like that's the mother of your children that you cheated on with your daughter's best friend but you look to take those low blows. Lord! When he said that thing about it being obvious he didn't care about Dani anymore since he was the one that walked out...that was cold. I even felt for Dani. Bill definitely is all over the spectrum. You can see a villain possibly surfacing, but you also see this great father. The elder Duprees move a little funny. I'm wondering what that is all about. Are they just overly protective matriarch and patriarch because they think it's what's best for their family, or are they afraid their secrets will come out or there's something more sinister there. Why would Vernon want to keep that information from Martin?  I hope something interesting comes out of this June stuff, but as of right now, I'm not too invested. It's not helping my interest on Naomi or Jacob either. However, tge actress playing Naomi has comes a long way from day one.
    • None of the males are taking their shirts off every week, so we know they have some degree of acting skill.

    • What can I say?  I did my best.
    • Thank you for sharing. I guess Nancy was catatonic most of her time on the show, so I guess the gasps make sense, lol. I had heard Cathy and Dick DeCoit were supposed to be on the show longer, but Trish Stewart leaving changed all that.
    • @Rmodelboy Thanks for posting that On-set pic of June. She looks great, you just might be right about her being Hayley sibling.

    • Claybon said Samantha and Tyrell were initially 6 and 7, but aged up for technical reasons, first aged up to 10 or 11, and then finally to 16 and 17. Is that the first time soap children have been SORASed twice before ever airing?

Is this someone you should be dealing with? I got the drama on lock. Leave it to me. You are my sister. You have loved & protected me every moment I've been in this world. It's my turn to stand up for you.
