Wasnt the OG plan for Brenda to return in 2017 with her son & he falls for joss, But Marcil balked so they created Kim as Oscars mom & cast Tamara

There was also Talk that GH wanted Tamara for Kate 2.0 in 2011 but hired Kelly Sullivan instead.

For sure about SH-it's wiki so it's probably wrong or a half truth.

Lol!  The mysterious patient Barrett that was just hair and a tattoo.  That with the Cooper Barrett appearance made me think it was going somewhere.  What a fake out and not in a good way.  I am not going to lie, the red herrings did make me tune in.

Poor Sarah Brown, never had a good soap role past Carly.

I don't think so, no. I think fans made that shít up same as they came up with the absolutely idiotic theory that somehow, Brenda's son was Dev the street kid deep in the Middle East. Frank does not want Brenda back.

I actually loved her on DAYS. I don't think people gave her on that show or that regime enough credit. But I was in the minority. I also thought she did a good job with very ropey material as Claudia.

I think both are true?

But I am not even sure it got to the point where Vanessa was ever in serious talks.  But they kept talking about Oscar like his mom was a big deal and.......it was Kim.

TB was heavily rumored to be Nukate so given her reappearance on GH I believe it.

I believe the Kate story because I heard it a lot at the time and it was very stupid, almost as stupid as Kim Nero. I don't believe the Oscar thing. I don't know what they had in mind but I don't buy that it would ever have involved bringing on Brenda.

Sarah had great chemistry with Eric Martsolf and their storyline, initially at least, was actually an intelligent business story for DAYS. But people turned on that creative regime very fast, and they did make mistakes. Oh well.

Since we're mentioning Oscar I'd like to once again reiterate he was played by the single worst young actor I have ever seen on General Hospital, and possibly the entirety of my experience in daytime short of Charity Rahmer. Rot in your grave, Oscar.

I tend to believe some of the Brenda/Oscar stuff.  I have no idea if it was ever a true thing the show pursued, but I think it was someone's idea at least on the show.

The TB/Kate stuff had a lot of rumor traction.  I tend to believe it because Kate was forgotten and the show was going for something big post-Sonny/Brenda for Sonny

I think fans tend to conjure up theories about characters they truly love at the drop of a hat, get overexcited and just repost shít without fact-checking and the game of telephone is easy to play in the social media age. I just don't think it got very far if it was even real, which I don't fully believe. But who knows.

Sarah did have good chemistry with EM.  It just got so weird when Duke Lavery was her evil ex husband.

GS was bad and (I know he's practically a kid) but not cute either.  I THINK everything would be a lot better if they didn't give him the faux Stone dying story.

Yeah, it could be a fan theory that caught fire.  I remember thinking some things Oscar said made it seem like Brenda could possibly be his mom, but I might have made that up in my head to continue the theory lol.

I mean, I would not want Brenda to be Oscar's mom, but I can see actual usefulness in Joss/Oscar's story with Brenda and Sonny seeing it as a repeat of Stone and bringing all that up again and finding each other again.  And I think I just wrote an outline for Sonny/Brenda fanfiction, so I'll stop.

I think the idea was for poor Ian Buchanan to replace the ailing Joe Mascolo as the new villain and oof, what a debacle.

I did always like that writing team despite their social media wars, so I was pleased to be validated when at least one of them had a solid run at AMC 2.0.

    • Yes, they did.  I still have them.  I think there were three.  AMC and GH as well.
    • Ah okay, thats what I thought. I was hoping I missed the announcement somewhere. Thanks for the clarification.
    • A new day in Salem… and a new day for Days.  I like the way everybody found out and absorbed the news about John’s death, and how they all eventually found their way to Marlena’s to offer their condolences. I’m not particularly sure why they waited until the next day to tell everybody but I don’t really mind it.  We finally got Roman’s perspective! His scenes with Kayla were one of the best parts of today. I’m glad that Roman is thankful for everything that John did for his kids. I agree with posters who said that he should’ve had a scene like this with John, but I’m happy we got this at least.  Julie was used very well today too. She’s definitely the best person for Marlena to have scenes with at the moment. Hopefully, Julie continues to be there for her. And yes, I totally agree with Marlena and Belle sending EJ away when he came to the apartment. I’m curious to see what’s going to happen to his and Belle’s relationship in the aftermath of all this. And, while I enjoyed most of Brady and Kristen’s scenes, I still think the ship has sailed for them. Hopefully, the aftermath of John’s death causes Brady to finally end this thing with her once and for all.  And, I see a lot of people were wearing some kind of shade of purple today.

    • Wow, I love that current and former actors are participating in this. I barely recognize Staci Greason! She looks fine, just very different. But I will be happy to hear anecdotes from her. I shipped RoJohn and Isabella hard back in the day, and I sobbed buckets in my dorm room at college when Izzy B passed. Honestly, I'm interested in everyone's stories. Drake seemed like he was well loved among the cast.
    • When she first appeared, I was sure she was setting Tyrell up for a prank. She was too much of a manic pixie dream girl- I wasn't surprised Tyrell also became suspicious. Now I'm not so sure. If Jessica genuinely likes Tyrell, it seems like a missed opportunity to not have started her out as a bully, then we see her gradually catch feelings for Tyrell.  The McBrides are definitely the "C" family of BTG. They always get last priority. There have been a few times where the Doug/Vanessa/Joey characters reference off screen conversations which seem too important to not show us. Like when Doug thanked Joey for giving him extra time to pay off the loan. When did that happen? Or when we abruptly moved from Vanessa/Joey at Uptown to Vanessa/Doug in the hotel room. The McBrides don't even have their own set - even though Vanessa is a realtor. It's a shame because I am a fan of the characters and actors.

I am also adjusting to KR as Ted but I feel that AM and MJ had way more chemistry as father and daughter than AM and KR. We saw Eva dream of having a real relationship with MJ's version of Ted for months so it's a bit of a bummer not to have that payoff with the original actor except for those scenes in MJ's last episode.  Something I noticed about Eva today is how she takes genuine delight in being a schemer. As badly as she wants to be a Richardson, she still has so much of her mom in her. It was jarring seeing her earnestly promise to steer clear of Leslie in her scene with Ted, then immediately switch attitudes when her mom showed up.  I'm very surprised with how quickly the accident story has been moving along. I was sure that it would be months if not years before people figured out it was Leslie on the motorcycle, not to mention responsible for the potassium overdose. I'm looking forward to seeing how MVJ and Guza avoid writing Leslie into a corner.  Finally, I have been loving the Articulettes story. Bonita Brisker was just the right amount of OTT - remember Sharon is supposed to be even more angry than Tracy is. If Sharon didn't come in swinging, people would say she fell flat. The way Sharon and Tracy describe the breakup is so Supremes-meet-Original Recipe Destiny's Child. I get the sense that MVJ is re-writing the Return to Love Tour as a roman a clef, and I love it. I'm looking forward to finding out what the secret they share is. If Dante Green is as shady as Berry Gordy was, it's something dark. If/when they go through with the reunion, I expect Dante to show up and claim to own the Articulettes trademark in a Lou Pearlman-esque twist.
    • Other than hanging out with Liz, all of Lucky's stories have been stalled out or dropped; the relationship with his son; his wanderlust. He hasn't been involved in any of the action/adventure or con artist stuff. I don't think he's even had a scene with Sidwell since the latter came to town. He's a real after thought. I doubt he's long for the show.
