Shriner has been on recurring for years.  I assume he simply means that he's completed his current arc and will now enjoy his down time vacationing.  I don't think he's "fired".   They will probably call him back for his next arc.

I think "Scotty's run is done" means the current story arc.  I think he's tweeting to thank his fans. I don't know the man, but that's what it seems like to me.

Fyi, he's done this in the past when an arc was done - he tweeted in such a way that caused some readers to assume he'd been let go.  He later deleted those tweets.

Exactly.   Scott is popular as is Shriner. Once the next story pops up we'll see Scott again. He earned this vacation. Those court scenes were good, and it's always great when he gets a leg up on Sonny🤣

But he shouldn't BE on recurring.  That's my point.  I hate to use the words "legacy character," but Scott is exactly that for GH.  He should have a regular, steady presence on the canvas.  Period.
