SOAP SLEAZE JOINS PASSIONS

Daytime Emmy nominee Crystal Chappell (Olivia, Guiding Light) has prime soap dish on her husband, Michael Sabatino. "He's going to do some time on Passions," Chappell tattles to TVGuide.com. "I think it's only 10 episodes [and he'll play] a sleazy guy. Yeah, that's usually his thing."

Indeed, Sabatino — who has been pursuing a second career as a building contractor — has played many soap nasties. My two faves: Rapist Lawrence Alamain from Days of our Lives and Knots Landing's devilish Chip Roberts, who was impaled on a pitchfork. Ouch! Most recently, Sabatino recurred as crooked lawyer Vince Russo on his wife's show, GL.

A Passions rep confirms that Sabatino has been cast in a short-term role but kept mum on specific details. Stay tuned....

OMG that is so cool!!

I wonder if he will be one of the new characters included in the 16 people in Italy. He may be involved in the Fancy/Noah/Maya plot with that women who is threatening Fancy and Maya. Perhaps he is the one who killed that women's partner and took the mysterious package, although I thought that was Alfieri's character. Maybe they wil extend his run too-I hope so because I love him!!

Doesn't look like it...

From TVGuide.com:

He's playing J.T. Cornell, the tabloid reporter who got Ethan's paternity scoop from those beeyotches Gwen and Rebecca years ago. Look for Theresa to have an informative meeting with J.T. in Rome on May 18. (TVGuide's words, not mine  )

JER, it says he got the scoop from you know who...not that he revealed it. Mort, bless her fish-fileting heart, could have gotten the information in some other way. Though, I must say, Mort revealing it int he first place...odd.

Keith, I believe you're confusing Mort with DORT, Kay's buddy at the Crane Cannery, portrayed by the Divine Louise Sorel (ex-Vivian Alamain, "Days of Our Lives.")

Mort was played by another soap vet, Martin Grey (ex-Jim, "Santa Barbara," ex-Lennie "Grace Under Fire"). He revealed Ethan's true paternity at Ethan and Theresa's engagement party in the Crane Mansion in Late January 2001.

    • Leslie's campiness has become irritating to me, not mesmerizing anymore.  It's getting repetitive, constantly plotting and flirting.  She's become a cartoon, sadly, and the actress is worth more than that. I want to fastforward through her, but now I watch to see her scene partners react.
    • Or get excited because they have less to memorize for the same check lol Sign me up for this!
    • Sounds about right. I hope they use a nickname for her as to not confuse everybody.
    • LOL - my mind was looking for a 'Cole' in Reva's long name, and of course that's the actor's name instead. I guess 7 unique husbands, and a couple she married twice, which gets her to 9?   Hahaha - true, could be. Hopefully/surely she somehow audited her beloved character's name before publishing.

    • Yeah, Leslie doesn’t care that people think or know that she’s guilty. She knows she can get off in some way and will revel in throwing it in those hypocritical Dupree faces.
    • Hold on to that thought, because I'll be eager to know if you feel the same way as you progress through her journey, after that evening.
    • Very interesting and great to hear, I'm glad she isn't just largely unpopular.

    • Wow, they really wasted Lucky in this latest return. How could they botch it up like that? And I really hate what they've done with Nina. So she's going to betray the one person who's done nothing but be kind and loving to her after having moved past the fact that she pretended to be her long lost daughter for someone who isn't even worth it at this point? There is really no coming back for Nina, is there? I honestly won't be surprised if both Sasha and Willow end up disowning Nina and cutting her out of their lives for good. And Nina is going to be even more of a pariah and social outcast than she already is.  Honestly, if the writers are going to make the entire town hate Nina, they might as well make her a full blown villain at this point and have her actually own it. Maybe losing Willow and the kids forever might finally prompt Nina to embrace her dark side and go full steam ahead with her villain era. At least make her the kind of villain people can get behind and enjoy, not... whatever this is.  On the other hand, Willow delivering Sasha's kid in court is actually an interesting twist. Wonder what Sasha is going to name her daughter now?
    • Someone needs to help me stop laughing because I've been crying from laughter in the past half an hour. My husband came to check if I'm okay. I'm more than okay. Is it Christmas already?
