A Happy Days rerun surely introduced me to that song. That song is just a genuine example of good songwriting with heartfelt lyricism and performance.

It was probably one of the first songs I ever heard that felt like a real person singing real emotions, odd as it is to say. The whole thing has so many layers along with the slick production.

It's not odd to say at all, I know what you mean. It is a song that lists attributes I'd be flattered to be described as having if someone told me this in the way he does it. Since the subject is "you", it feels like he is expressing this to the listener.

I love a good R&B rant, like anybody else but a song that expresses admiration and attraction for someone's finer qualities, the way this song does, will always be pleasing.

Not to mention the way in which the singer gives voice to that expression, adds to the pleasure of listening.

I loved St. Elsewhere. Norman consistently did a fine job and brought a great deal of integrity to a show that could, especially in its last seasons, threaten to spin totally out of control. His scenes with Jane Wyatt were a delight.

What an amazing life Norman had. And to be working and raconteuring past 100, not to mention being married for some 75 years until his wife passed...he sure did a lot of things right, it seems.

Mr. Mooney was a prolific comedian, so much so, that he had different eras of fans--The Hollywood Shuffle era immediately comes to mind. His humor was the definition of incisive but was blanketed in truth and you couldn't but laugh, even if things got a little uncomfortable. Artist usually do make most people uncomfortable. R.I.P.
