TCM has just uploaded its annual TCM Remembers retrospective for 2022. Anne Heche is included, as are Ray Liotta and Mitchell Ryan, who also had soap ties before (and after - in Ryan's case!) they made it "big":

I usually like these, but this one felt a little rushed. They could have added a minute or two to the running time and slowed down the tempo a bit.

I feel like the seams have been showing for several years now. Apparently this doesn't have Sally Kellerman, which is a big oversight.

Thanks for finding this @jam6242 . I hope the success of the new Elvis movie might lead more people to find and respect the various ladies of his films, who often shone in thankless parts.

I have that article scanned somewhere (I guess it's probably on the SOD tumblrs too if those are still around) where she talked to SOD about her attack. Just awful. I haven't really seen her DAYS work but I remember that.

Yes, she talked about it to People Magazine too.  It was very brutal.  She was a strong woman.  Here's the article.

WARNING:  Frank discussion of a violent sexual assault.

His family later said he had renal medullary carcinoma, so the below post is out of date.

Oh that hurts. Bell was an unassuming genius who didn’t really get the praise due him.

Knowing he was the writing partner of Linda Creed, who also got so little praise and died so young, makes it worse.
