Richard Chamberlain & Wesley Eure were together for about a year. It's said that he broke Eure's heart when he fell in love with another man. I just can't stop thinking what an amazingly good looking couple the two of them must have been.

Chamberlain and Kilmer are both huge blows. I'm so glad Chamberlain got one last turn in Twin Peaks Season 3, and that Kilmer knew how much he was valued in his time - not just in his cameo in Top Gun: Maverick, but for so much of his works. I grew up with him in Willow, among other things like Heat.

I highly recommend seeing Kilmer in Shane Black's Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, probably his last great performance opposite Robert Downey Jr. just pre-Iron Man.

Wesley Eure was on DAYS 1974-1981.
In 2009, Wesley Eure came out in "After Elton".  Eure said that while he was on DAYS, he'd been involved with Richard Chamberlain. They double dated with Patty Weaver and her husband, and the cast and crew knew. Eure said that after they broke up, he was crying in his DAYS dressing room.

Richard Chamberlain starred in King Solomon's Mines (1985)
as "Allan Quatermain" (two L's in Allan, no "e" on end of Quartermain).
Same name as the character in the 1885 novel upon which the movie was based.
The movie was released one hundred years after the novel.
Chamberlain also starred in the sequel movie "Allan Quatermain and the Lost City of Gold" (1986).
In that second film, actor Martin Rabbett appeared as Robeson Quatermain.
Martin Rabbett became Richard Chamberlain's longterm life love/partner.

March 30, 2025: Here is a new detailed article by the "Today Show" about their relationship, which includes a statement from Rabbett about Chamberlain's passing. This article contains much more than what was in the initial Variety obituary.

He broke Mike Horton’s heart

I’ve always wondered if Susan Flannery had a hand in introducing them, since she worked with both of them around the same time.

Thanks. Hadn't heard of his passing. Poetry in Motion is such a dippy, sweet song. The "whoa...whoa whoa whoa whoa..." stayed with me.

"It Keeps Right On A Hurtin'" may be the song I liked most of his (of the few I heard). Very effective melody and vocal performance.

R.I.P. Jay North, best remembered as the star of tv's "Dennis The Menace."

Admittedly, it wasn't really a show I ever wanted to watch and, after I saw him interviewed about how miserable he was and abused throughout by a nasty aunt, I had even less desire to watch. He went through some dark times but he did end up turning his life around and being happy.

Actor Nicky Katt has passed away, aged 54.

https://variety.com/2025/film/news/nicky-katt-dead-boston-public-1236368189/

I've seen Dazed and Confused, but I mostly remember him from Boston Public, which is a show I thought made me so adult when I fell in love with it in 7th/8th grade. I think the show needs a re-watch with adult eyes from me. It's concerning that no cause of death was given, but I hope his soul can now rest well.

I know Jean best for her work in Doctor Who, especially the fascinating Sara Kingdom, very of her time and ahead of her time. I hope more of her episodes are found to honor her. Jean also graciously returned later in life to record some audios for Big Finish.

@I Am A Swede I know this is a tough one for you.

I know Jean Marsh best for playing the evil Queen Bavmorda in Willow - she traumatized me as a child! But she was so great, such a voice, and had two immortal roles in Doctor Who, particularly the ever-enigmatic Sara Kingdom. What a career. She'll be missed.

    • Would not necessarily call myself a shipper, as I think shipping is quite an unhealthy state of mind to exist in, but would I like to see them paired? Yes, I would.
    • I can't stand Andre with Ashley.  Sean Freeman acts the scenes well but I just don't like how Andre is being written in his scenes with Ashley. The last few episodes have been same Fairmont day, everyone in same wardrobe. Fyi, I can't detect it from watching but Andre's white shirt is leather https://www.shopyourtv.com/tag/andre-richardson/ specifically goatskin leather: https://shop.mango.com/us/en/p/men/jackets-and-vests/overshirts/100-leather-overshirt-with-pockets_67085137
    • I have to agree. Yesterday wasn't too bad either. I'm glad there was some movement in the B and C plots, and I'm very intrigued by Bill's story.  Nice scenes.  I have to rewatch them, though.  @Liberty City A Andre and Ashley shipper?
    •     Oh wait, I got that wrong, I think? Correcting what I said: Chelsea and Bill both assumed that Dani was fake-kissing Pamela.  But meanwhile Pamela asked for the reason for the kiss and Dani explained that she was trying to give Pamela something to focus on other than Diego.  So now I think that Dani just wanted to help Pamela, but Bill and Chelsea misconstrued (as did I).  But then Dani reverted to form and taunted Bill about it. Chelsea would be right if Dani was just kissing Pamela as a ruse to make Bill jealous.  But maybe it was really about Pamela and not about Bill.
    • Lulu is not thinking about Gio here What will this revelation do to him?
    • Well, this show is now attempting to step outside of the box a bit more? Next, Andre kisses Derek. Come on show in 2025, do it.
    • I ended up being VERY moved by the scenes between Dani and Chelsea today. I think that it's so awesome that not one...but two...of the Dupree grandchildren identify as queer. Since KM came out as queer a bit back, you can't help but wonder how her own personal experience shaped that performance. BRAVO!

date: Wednesday, May 21 | Sara A. Bibel, Danielle Paige | Steven Williford Ashley, forget about Derek and embrace the man you are meant to be with: Andre Richardson! He wouldn't scratch the fridge! Derek, where are you at? A rundown motel? Or the firehouse? Dani and Pamela are absolute moods with each other. Loving their explored friendships. Uh-oh, is Chelsea's female boo not wanting to explore things with Chelsea? That's sad. Not Bill and the child bride still walking about the honeymoon they're going to resume? Please no. Dashley? No. No. Naomi, do not be team Dashley. Please. And Derek, everything about you (pre-smelly socks) annoys me. DANI PLANTING THE KISS ON PAMELA! YES!!! I'm really going to need Ashley to get over Derek; he is not the prize that you believe him to be. Let him go be the disgusting, unkempt, dirty pig he's shown himself to be. Of course Bill thinks it's about him, and then Chelsea feels insulted due to the fact she just got denied by the [married] woman she was into. Not Hayley thinking this is about Dani for Chelsea; it's about something deeper. While I get where Chelsea is coming from and fully agree with her, this is the one time she's not knowing the truth of the situation, and I wish she'd listen to Dani. Not Dana eavesdropping on Jacob interrogating Eva... and trying to continue setting her up. But Eva do not protect her. Do not. Yes, Chelsea, shut Bill down!! Let your momma support you in your coming out to her!! Look at her telling her truth... so beautiful! I'm still intrigued by what is causing Bill's hand tremors. Notes: Sean Freeman (Andre) and Jen Jacob (Ashley) have some real chemistry between them, and I hope they continue to build on it, script-wise. I CALLED IT! I CALLED IT! I knew there was some underlying chemistry with Dani and Pamela! I knew it; Cady McClain and Karla Mosley just played it up to that point! Other day and no Procter & Gamble products in commercials. Danielle Paige rocked the script today. That might be one of the best "coming out" scenes I've witnessed on an American daytime soap.
    • Best episode of the week so far. The pacing on some of the side storylines is picking up too, which I like.  And I'm always a sucker for a musical montage. I actually felt something for Derek and Ashley during it, both looking at pictures of each other on their phones and saying g'night. Music always helps bring out emotional moments.
