@daysgoby Wow! I had no idea Teri Hatcher filmed separately! I’m rewatching the series and I read when Nicollette Sheridan was fired the original plan was to kill Susan. Maybe that is why. I do think as I’m almost finished that losing Nicollette hurt the show tremendously. Her final episode showed how well her character could fit if fleshed out. Without her the show lost a sense of humor and it’s heart. I feel Eva Longoria carries the show once she left.

I think she was the best part of the show. I stopped watching when they killed her character off.

I’ve continued trying to watch the show and just like when I initially watched the show, I find it hard to watch without Nicollette. What’s particularly insulting is when they bring on Vanessa Williams as an exact replica of Edie. It was so similar that you can’t help but compare the two and Williams was terrible in the part.

Wow. I remember that terrible show.

Disgusting indeed but not surprising from a show that had tumultuous backstage problems from the get go, de-gaying characters and all. Few shows have ever tanked as quickly as Heroes did.

Well, I know I'll never be able to watch her w/ Idris Elba and Beyonce in "Obsessed" the same way again.

Oops, I hit a paywall.

Thanks, @janea4old.  David Milch is a brilliant writer, and a brilliant human being.  Complicated, yes, but brilliant nonetheless.  [!@#$%^&*] Alzheimer's.

Sorry about the paywall - none came up for me so I linked it directly.

That's okay.  I'm still glad you made us aware of the article.  David Milch has become another hero of mine.

Deadwood is one of my all-time shows. Looking back at NYPD Blue recently on Prime too it's astonishing what they were allowed to get away with just in terms of visual style and tone on network TV, at least in the early years. But of course that also came out of what I've seen of Hill Street Blues. I've only seen a little of the early stuff but it was my father's favorite.
